Graphene in tyres - Neill quoted - but this is undated and may be from 2016.

He's trying to wind up and troll Neill

It's only because he's interested and wants to get in or he wants some attention.

Unfortunately it works.

I'm sure Neill can fight his own battles. The rational response for others is to ignore.

the demand for graphite/graphene will out strip supply !major industry conglomerates are negotiating off take agreements for high end graphite/graphene,as being demonsrated with the lithium/cobalt market.will their be a missing link for vrs to maintain relationship with china due to supply issues ! technology is fastly gripping the advantages of graphene.

The idiots on twitter really show how ill-informed they are when they post and to think the guy used to run a company.

Stupid argument anyway and pure intentional misleading disruption.

Dan/David.

Why is it that you can't simply do a simple search on google

Essentially, investing in UK large caps means the FTSE 100 Index , or informally know as the footsie. This index began on the 03rd January 1984 at the base level of 1,000. The FTSE 100 Index consists of the largest 100 qualifying UK companies by full market value. The constituents of this index are determined on a quarterly basis, on the Wednesday after the first Friday of the months of March, June, September and December. The values used to make the changes to the indices are taken at the close of business the night before the review.

The larger cap companies are considered to be more liquid making them easier to buy and sell which is an obvious advantage. Similarly, they are likely to pay regular dividends which are an attraction for those investors seeking regular income, or if you reinvest the dividends it can substantially enhance your total investment return.

The Medium Caps
The FTSE 250 Index is a capitalisation-weighted index consisting of the 101st to the 350th largest companies on the London Stock Exchange. Getting promoted or demoted from this index takes place quarterly in March, June, September and December. Also a number of the constituents in this index are Investment Trusts. Whilst mid-sized companies might be less liquid, in terms of trading, many do pay dividends and as they grow are candidates for inclusion in the FTSE 100 Index.

The Small Caps
The FTSE Small Cap Index is an index of small market capitalisation companies consisting of the 351st to the 619th largest listed companies on the London Stock Exchange main market. The Smaller cap companies tend to be much more illiquid than their larger and mid cap brethren, given that there are fewer shares available in the market.
Smaller companies are less likely to pay dividends given that they tend to reinvest their profits for future growth, and where a company does pay a dividend it’s less secure given that the company might not pay the dividend over future years.
Equally, smaller companies tend to be less researched; consequently, there are more investment opportunities to find bargains given that their share prices might not reflect the true value of the company and their growth potential. This is harder to find in larger caps given that they are generally over researched.

Re directa

They don't do graphene.

I'm not going to explain it. What graphene is and what VRS have in the lol thread.

A full picture or VRS has been kindly created by a poster the links are in the header. It's an excellent report

Check the data sheets of Directa v the ISO.

Its all about layer level, aspect ratios and defect ratios. If the reading doesn't make sense then don't invest in graphene etc as you won't know what graphene is.

Hey Alchemy, correction, it's 'EY Entrepreneur Of The Year UK' not 'young entrepreneur'. Neill's not young any more (sorry Neill, if you're reading this, and also can I have a robot pleeeease? I've been really good this year.)

Some proper news coverage, associating VRS with the burgeoning Graphene revolution would do wonders for us.

Wow! BBC 10pm news just featured smart clothing, wearing technology for monitoring patients health. Showed the American University of Nottingham with some crude prototypes - a silicone looking bandage that was screaming out for graphene! Wait till the press cotton on (sorry about the pun! )that graphene is their answer and only the UK with a little company that started life in a home garage has the know how and IP to manufacture and supply it.

axotyl, yes , as already confirmed this is an Ernst & Young annual competition so no worries re that. Also Neill retweeted the link when someone nominated him so I think it suggests he would like our backing.

I don't see anything about composites in that Turbo. If not that would be rather remiss of them.

Sounds a reasonable idea, but who are EY? Can't find anything about them. Do they have some sort of background? Past history? Where are they based?

You sure it's not a data farming outfit?

Each nomination by us, if you read the small print, will need work by NR to return his info - has he really got the time? The Twitterati are already a heavy drain, dealing with inane questions, and with very limited benefit besides winning points against the shorting trolls.

Also, we all know what a gem Versarien will be, but trying to convince newcomers of its current potential needs fairly heavy education in my experience.
