No idea.Big money has other ideas. £52+ buys yesterday.MMs gave me a top up 2p below the bid so they could disguise it as a sell. Up 10% profit straight away.Very strange but I'm in. Something going on. Leaky!

7% dilution! It would be good to see them put some of their own capital at risk but that seems unlikely.

I think there is some fantastic science here unfortunately that doesn't always translate into shareholder returns. I had hoped the new team would be a bit more aware of and have respect for who is providing the risk capital.

As pointed out by Mortimer7, a complete con job, normal people & business,s reward people on success, this crowd reward failure. Unfortunately I got in many years ago on a rising trend, ever since it's been down. You would imagine there is still hope with the type of research they are involved In, it all depends on the cash raise. Piers M?, is this the same as the tv guy? If so, that says it all!

Sadly these guys don't respect investors capital, if it was coming from there own pockets they would act far more responsibly.

From todays results:

Dr. Jan-Anders Karlsson's severance agreement included severance pay equal to £479,160, a cash bonus of £40,000, a payment as compensation of termination of employment of £100,000 and base salary in lieu of notice of £363,000. Other benefits included continued medical and life insurance and continued pension contributions.

Piers Morgan's severance agreement included severance pay equal to £123,930 as payment in lieu of notice, a cash bonus of £82,620, ex gratia compensation of £30,000 and £40,000 additional compensation for termination of employment.

How on earth are these sums agreed by a company with no income.
They previously stated Karlsson "is retiring following 8 years of dedicated service to the Company to pursue non-executive roles".

Bonzo, someone once told me, if you came across a company and you think you discovered a gem, but somehow nobody else (especially with more money than you) seems be sharing your opinion, I'm afraid 95% of the times it means you are wrong and this gem will never bring any return. With Verona the only way to make money at the moment is to buy after drop then wait for pre-rns raise and then sell before RNS.

I suppose in case of Verona shares no news is a bad news. Third time unlucky, this time I kept it hoping for something special. Will sell and wait for a drop in price. Then buy again and wait for a letter .

These are the equivalent of 62-64 in the US on NASDAQ at the moment - anyone know why these always seem to be trading at a discount in the UK?

2 very big buys for 300000 and 350000 shares on aim. £140K and £175K is not beer money. Intuition says big rns and rise coming in next fortnight perhaps. The chairman D Ebsworth interview on the 02/12/2020 mentions trials in China. Now with in excess of 70 million patients of COPD that would be telling and the 30million COPD patients in the USA. We look likely to be going for two of the biggest markets in the world that account for a third of all deaths globally. Let us see what happens but judging on those buys it is all going to be very very good news. This just seems very undervalued on the IP alone. C19 may actually help push this drug into the spotlight of investors looking for suitable high growth shares in current uncertain climate. "significant shareholder value" at this price may be on the horizon. I have topped up today as feel this may be due a bullish run. Will Nasdaq see another double digit rise for VRNA.

Added a few more of these today and at $5 in the US these are the equivalent of 50 - 52 on NASDAQ for the ADRs.

You are right. This company (I am ashamed to say I have been involved in for more than 10 years with sums I now can't really afford to lose) has been "jam tomorrow" for the whole time! If these drugs were first in class 10 years ago (and still can be today?) and still haven't been taken on by a large pharma, it does give rise to how good they really are or will ever be? I've got nothng for my substantial investment here other than future promises that never seem to happen. It is questionable that they now dilute further before showing some real progress to having any way of making their long term investors any returns?

People, WE ARE BEING ASKED TO SIGN UP TO A DILUTIVE MUGGING at the upcoming AGM, which of course we can't attend. Resolutions 11 and 12 will give directors the authority to increase the number of shares in issue by 400% (i.e. the number of shares could go from 105m to 525m) and to allot them to anyone they like at any price without pre-emption rights, i.e. massive dilution to our holdings.
We have to vote against Resolution 12, which is a Special Resolution, requiring a 75% majority to pass. This means that every vote against is worth 3 votes for.
The company can't simply ignore long-suffering UK shareholders' rights at the time when we are finally on the threshold of great success, by not letting us participate in what would be the last big capital raise at a rock bottom price.
