I had a glance at ffx and put it in my watch list just for interest when you mentioned it at 52p.
It's not for me as I don't like financials. Saying that they're Up 18% in no time and assume it's more than exchanging currency for holidays which I would imagine could fall off a cliff now
I'd be wary of founders selling their shares and resigning
I'd also investigate the directors, you can get a good feel that way.
I binned DFX and avoided BST recently on that basis

APAD, Same concern as dacian highlighted.

I like to invest alongside owner managed companies. If managers have large investment in the business, they would look to increase per share value. I don't like the fact FFX share capital has increased by 45%. One of the large placement one was done at 20p.

Electronic Payment market is growing and there is a long run way to go. So, i guess they will be ok. You are more experienced than I am so I'd be interested to hear your views.

Personally, i am invested in Visa/Mastercard and happy to ride secular trend in payments space.

What do you think about Safecharge?

Red a bid would have to be north of £3 for CNA, currently 2.07 which undervalues the business. I think the Bod will be thinking about splitting the business 3ways to maximise value and try to avoid being taken over!
Either way, shareholders will be quids in
I have made money many a time going against the "tintins" and this could be the next great example
Why do they get it so wrong or is there an ulterior agenda?

Thanks for the comments about FFX.
I have emailed the CEO with them. It will be interesting to see whether/how he responds.

Ffx

Not looked at the detail, but ripe as a means of money laundering. I just hope that they have got their robust systems in place.

From first glance it looks good APAD but didn't someone say that Directors own less than 2%? That would be an 'orange' flag for me. I'd want to look at that in more detail to understand why they only own such a small amount of the company. The recent RNS was very good though.

Can anyone spot a flaw in my view of FFX as a conviction stock?
I need some wise counsel before I transmogrify all of my WEIR into FFX.

I would have thought the price needs to be somewhat north of £2.10 per share.
Buy on the rumour and sell on the fact?

Risky from Reading.

Agreed APAD. BOO volume fairly high today - pulled the trigger with a top-up at just under 214p.

Wpp is slowly climbing from the depths. Although I am currently losing my shirt, I am just retaining strategic the pieces of clothing that preserve my modesty :-)

Yes we are, but looking for a similar outcome, namely profit

Yes, my timing could have been a lot better.
I saw the price weakness as a chance to opt in.

GAW - best stock for me this year.
WPP - worst stock for me this year

Anyone looking for a nice yeild and good growth should have a look at BVIC. Chairman bought a chuck yesterday. Brazil and USA opening up for them.

I think the current year PE for BVXP is under 20 which is too cheap for such a high quality company which has very good growth prospects. I hope so anyway it's my biggest holding.
