I use mouthwash at home, and it seems obvious to me that I should use a mouthwash like Dentyl which would reduce the viral load from any potential or actual COVID-19 infection rather than another mouthwash which provides no benefit.

the last couple of times I've been to the dentist, I have been given a Covid killing mouthwash before treatment

Time will tell Hastings but in any case good luck with it.

I think people would buy it as a matter of course Hydrus. Sales of personal health products across the space have already been selling well since the onset of Covid, so a positive on this would IMO translate into increased sales.

I think at best it is niche though. Temperature checks, had gel and PPE are already in place at dentists. Don't know how many will insist patients swill mouthwash as well.

Fair point Shanklin I guess that is a possible use. Swill at the surgery before entry.

Presumably dentists might demand its use prior to any appointment

Presumably though if you know you have Covid you are self isolating. If you don't know you have Covid you wouldn't bother using it. I just can't see how this will translate into a practical usage which would lead to increased sales.

Assume the transmission via the mouth is eradicated!, thus reducing the spread of the disease.Do think as others have posted they should be making more of these initial study findings in terms of PR, Caveat may be they can't until it's finalised?.

I'm intrigued to know what the other over the counter brand containing CPC was.Looking at possibilities (conjecture on my part) Oral B does I believe contain CPC, which if proved to be the case would prove interesting to say the least for VLG.

VLG to release "Nasyl" spray with corona busting properties?

Yes good point Riv and good morning to you!

Let's hope their IR/PR teams are doing a better job outside of RNSs.....also possibly ramping up Chinese deal and lining up others on the back of this?

Did I read it right that human results will be due "early" 2021, so they are effectively trialling those now, is that correct?

DYOR and if this really is such a game changer, then broker target prices will need to be revised materially, materially higher....

Cheers

I don't quite understand what this means. So what if the virus in the oral cavity is killed as it will remain in the nasal cavity and the rest of the body. How could this practically be helpful?

As well as the RNS headline, VLG missed another trick in not highlighting the Dentyl brand in the body of the RNS - Dentyl is only mentioned in the company footnotes to the RNS.

Nevertheless, today's news should garner lots of national - and possibly global - press, and rightly so.

Today’s published result of a laboratory experiment is strong for VLG.

The outcome of the live person trial Is not due until next year.....but there are plenty of patients now to experiment on, so the results should be statistically valid.
