11/5/2020 09:44 | If tomorrow's news is as we expect, red, then they will switch to a downtrend. I am expecting them to 'never let a good crisis go to waste' kitchen sink everything and cut the divi. Egg on face tomorrow if I'm wrong. If I'm right I don't intend to buyback in until their customers' markets improve. apad | apad
11/5/2020 09:31 | The algos appear to have been operating to the upside on Rsw. At some point will the emphasis switch to sells? Hmmm... red | redartbmud
11/5/2020 09:16 | Weekend unicorn. "Branson clears path to sell $1bn stake in Virgin Galactic Filing opens door to potential sale of half of Virgin Group’s holding in space venture" I'm planning to sell a second tranche of RSW at 11:00 red. Algos don't have strategies 😊You did better than me with your first sale (mine at 3649p) Bought a tranche of TLST at 512p. Very highly priced, even at 450p, but I am counting on a step function increase in sales that will last. Fourth largest holding so I shouldn't be increasing according to accepted practice. apad | apad
11/5/2020 08:54 | Looking at the Rsw trades, the algos are in charge. Still driving the price higher. No idea what their strategy might be. Disconnect of share price to underlying results? red | redartbmud
11/5/2020 08:51 | FRP and BEG both moving up this morning . They are the only insolvency practitioners on the market. The big 4 are losing ground due to conflicts of interest. Recession in the wind.? | sunshine today
11/5/2020 08:45 | Well done on BOO apad 👍👍 | thelongandtheshortandthetall
11/5/2020 08:32 | From preliminary results: "Elecosoft delivered a year of growth, cash generation and product innovation in 2019, despite the uncertain trading conditions experienced in the lead up to Brexit. We increased our revenues by 14 per cent, our profit before tax by 45 per cent and our earnings per share by 43 per cent. Powerproject XV, our latest project management programme, also won the "Hammers" award for the UK Project Planning and Management Software of the year, for the sixth time. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
11/5/2020 08:30 | JIM announce quarterly dividend of 11p. | melton john
10/5/2020 19:59 | Hi Red If I had a gardening round I would have been busy too. No problem with sensible distancing. I've done a bit to keep busy but as we've recently moved so I've got zero customer base to generate anything. Looking forward to getting some projects going on :) | thelongandtheshortandthetall
10/5/2020 19:36 | tlatsatt The young kid living next door hasn't missed a day's work since the lockdown. He is a self-employed gardener!! red | redartbmud
10/5/2020 19:30 | Great stuff. I can get back to work. Hopefully customers will call. Cooltools I had to google to make sure. :) Wanna do some selling and buying first thing :) | thelongandtheshortandthetall
10/5/2020 18:24 | Enjoy the bank holiday Monday, folks! ... just kidding :-) | cooltools
08/5/2020 15:31 | THANK YOU TO OUR HERO'S OF WW2!! I'm going to enjoy my scones without fear of a jack boot. And the rest of my life too. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
08/5/2020 15:28 | Ive been saying for ages the lockdowns background cost will be very painful. You're very right Hydrus. That pain is yet to be seen. When people return to work and there's no orders. No leads for the sales team to follow up. And a reluctant consumer (engine of everything). Will the employers maintain staff at 2019 levels. The government have tried their best but I cant help but feeling they have sacrificed far too much to avoid body bags on the nightly news. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
08/5/2020 14:29 | If you look at stats, deaths below 45 have been extremely low. Only 0.0014%. Less than 500 for half of country's populations. Continuing full lockdown will be crazy imv. | attrader
08/5/2020 14:25 | Cheers hazl I think it is important to challenge perceptions of value. I lost a significant ampount in the 2008 GFC holding bank shares when they had been considered low risk and good value. As we all learned, in a seemingly benign period prior to the crash the banks had massively mis-priced a number of risks relating to credit and liquidity. | valhamos
08/5/2020 13:45 | valhamos agree with that post 34433.Individual perception and reality. | hazl
08/5/2020 13:01 | Yes you might be right. Free holiday for half the pop, financial ruin for many | big7ime
08/5/2020 12:53 | Thing is Big looks like many people want the full lockdown to continue. I can't fathom it. Half the people furloughed don't realise they are actually unemployed by now. | hydrus
08/5/2020 10:28 | That figures. Strange times.🙄 bamboo You must be geiing some strange readings, from the charts. Couple of days ago, I looked at the 1 minute chart of Rdsb, that had hit around 1320p. The red candle touched it 3 times, but failed to break through on the upside, and it quickly fell to the 1270's, and themn descended futher. I was a bit behind events, as it was off 10p when I looked. Even so it now appears to be a missed opportunity to sell and buy back at lower levels. red | redartbmud
08/5/2020 09:39 | Today is what is normally Mayday Bank Holiday Monday. | bamboo2 |
