I concur with Spurious and I definitely take everything fluky says with a very large shovel of salt. I seriously think he works for the competition.

This does look an extremely good investment now. Today's news confirms in my opinion the tech is sailable and given the low mkp would make this one of the best picks for 2018. Upside here looks plentiful

Fluky
Your really having a problem getting your head round my posts
Let me offer you some much needed help
The information I have posted is taken straight from EFT's web site and I quote exactly
......" The co also has an agreement with a major FT innovator giving EFT the rights to a patent portfolio of several hundred patents...this portfolio includes patents on production of fuels...and base oils for syncrude"

It must be clear to anyone with half a brain that EFT cannot offer the full FT package without as they have stated, seeking agreement with a major FT innovator otherwise why seek that agreement.
That FT innovator will charge for the licencing of it's patent technology and make many millions of dollars in the process

You also make 2 random statements in post 1516 and I quote you exactly

"EFT will not select Velocys technology for Fulcrum"

"In addition Velocys is not the major innovator EFT mentioned"

Such certainty means

(1) you must know the identity of the major FT innovator
(2 you must know who is supplying the technology to Fulcrum if Velocys is not
(3) you are clairvoyant
or as I suspect
(4)You are as usual talking out of your backside

I may be Spurious but I never make erroneous statements !

Once again Fluky your posts never cease to make me smile.

Fluky, where is that cash burn figure from? I note you make it an assumption. If all R+D has been conducted as you say and all research staff are out then costs would be reduced. Correct me if I'm wrong too as I understood each completed product to be 15 mil. Plus then another 30 mil over its lifespan. Old link but I'm guessing the same will still apply here... hxxp://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/news/AN_1411377651442025900/update-velocys-expects-usd45-million-in-red-rock-revenue;-wins-patent-case.aspx

Fluky, I have read through your posts and can see you know this company pretty well. Please consider posting further analysis here soon. I will watch and wait. Beyond the likely realisation of the bowl, if this company has no R&D, but on the other hand, a perfectly good scalable and well protected technology that is being adopted, it sounds like a sale to a major is highly likely.

That sounds gloomy! Do we await a buyer?

Gac, how do you respond?

Brucie5: The $6+M they received is 50% of the license fee, the first catalyst charge and the reactor. Assuming that 25% margin on the catalyst and the reactors, that will generated about $3M profit, since the license fee has 100% margin. Assuming the current cash burn is about $18M per year, Velocys has to sell the equivalent of 5 RRB plants per year to breakeven.
The other fact that one has to consider is that the catalyst and reactor technology are frozen since they got rid of all catalyst and reactor development people last year. This means that Velocys has to monetize their technology as quickly as possible before the competition catches up.

Doubleheadedcoin worth reading on LSE. Uberbullish, but I think, right. You look at the money that's been invested here, at much higher levels; and Ervington has not given up on it. I'd like to think that we will get back over a £1 within the year. And on that note, I will shut up. But my major holdings, TERN, VLS and RED all doing well this morning, so it's difficult to contain the excitement!

Yes, but what is your prognosis going forward? Deutsch's point is well taken, re. revenues, but my feeling is that this is primarily about getting the door open, decisively and finally, as you say. Now the question to ask, is how will the roll out proceed, what is the timescale, and what sort of figures of this scale of opportunity?

One word: finally!
It has taken almost 5 years since RRB selected Velocys as the FT technology provider.

Well, I hope you're enjoying yourself. I'm not sure it's spelled with a "T" though.

Good news and welcome. - Perhaps now is the time to talk about revenue and performance from existing business. - There has been no talk of finances for some time and it is beginning to look more than an oversight? - Are we selling product and if so is it making the margins expected and are our development partners settling outstanding bills etc etc etc! - just a reminder that this isn't a video game!

Gac141: Spurious posting contains erroneous information. See my replies #1516 and #1518. EFT has developed their own FT catalyst/reactor technology, which will be applied in Fulcrum's Sierra Biofuels Plant and in Juniper GTL.

Looks like we're pushing up over 15p. If this is the case, I think 20 will follow swiftly, then 25, 30 and 40p. With all such stories, the time and trouble it's taken to get to an inflexion point is likely to hold back new believers, and many of the old. Just take a look at TERN. But once the story sinks in, and the journos start taking a look at it, the share price responds soon enough.

The placing shares will be virtually all cleared now as with the RINs news we should have been in the 20s!!!! This is now just the icing on the cake and proves the technology for further new contracts! Massive news today and expect 30p very shortly at a minimum conservative estimate
