15/1/2018 18:50 | EJ: re: Mr Pummell does not actually appear to own any shares. Nassim Nicholas Taleb's new book is all about this and CEO's "not having skin the game". It's another lesson for me going forward. If the CEO doesn't have skin in the game it's a free ride for them. | thebigshortfella
15/1/2018 18:47 | beeezzz - re: Whatever the management say the outlook is not good. I think you are spot on. My spread bet clearly blew up today and as a result was offered a £300 point DFB at 10p. I will not be taking it. I cannot trust VLS management and as per Fluky's comment, I am now dubious about the performance of ENVIA. One thing I am rather annoyed about is my recent post about 10% of IG clients having shorts on VLS. Based on what I have seen, that is a high percentage for a company like VLS. I am kicking myself for not reacting to this observation. Did any of those traders have upfront knowledge about the 10p placing???? | thebigshortfella
15/1/2018 17:45 | When you invest in AIM companies that don't make a profit and pay a dividend you're taking a punt. Simple as that gentleman. | tradejunkie2
15/1/2018 17:40 | Tongosti, with regards to your 12.17 post, possibly Beechy Head. | cocker

15/1/2018 15:12 | Deutsch: My apologies, I misunderstood. I am with you now. | fluky
15/1/2018 14:18 | I guess the invovlement of Roman Abramovich gives some comfort as he is unlikely to knowingly invest £4m if he considers there to be no chance of a payback, likewise to a lesser extent with Lansdowne! "Ervington are subscribing for 40,000,000 Firm Placing Shares at the Placing Price and Lansdowne are subscribing for 30,000,000 Firm Placing Shares at the Placing Price." | 25october1969
15/1/2018 13:58 | fluky - Thats my point - If the management had been American it wouldn't have got stitched up this way. English management is too slow for the Yanks. 'Take a new idea, watch it develop, take the management to Las Vegas, and when/if it shows promise screw the dozy Brits- See what they did to BP etc etc - We should never have relocated to the land of milk and honey in the first place! - Too late now! | deutsch3
15/1/2018 13:42 | Totally under-capitalised, in debt to the institutions, no meaningful revenue in sight, over-committed, whatever the merits of the technology, nothing in this for the private investor. The collapse of the share price and the placing price says it all. | c2b
15/1/2018 12:17 | Where is the usual promotional post from gac?!Must have a day off today... | tongosti
15/1/2018 11:59 | fluky - based on today's outcome, you are the wisest person in the room and, therefore, I wouldn't argue with your reasoning that things may not be going well with ENVIA... | thebigshortfella
15/1/2018 11:31 | I see only one reason for the 10p valuation: the inadequate operation of the ENVIA plant which obviously has not reached its 250 bpd capacity, after reaching 200 bpd on October 30th. The May fundraise used a valuation of 45-50p at the time that the ENVIA was close to producing its first finished products. Another signal is the fact that the moneys if this raise will be used "to fund the Company's working capital and central operating costs, including additional support to ENVIA until it reaches sustainable profitability expected in the second quarter of 2018." No loan this time but Velocys will fund the additional support ENVIA needs to get to profitability. That indicates that the ENVIA JV partners are unhappy about the plant performance By the way, Deutsch3, most of the senior management is British....Although a new name popped up as a member of the executive team: Henrik Wareborn as interim Commercial Director. Did anyone see an announcement? | fluky
15/1/2018 11:18 | Anyone who approved the 'pleased to announce ' needs to examine their conscience very carefully........... | meijiman
15/1/2018 11:10 | Complete shambles, only have a small holding here. Potentially a great business but once again bottom draw BOD. | john henry
15/1/2018 10:31 | 25October - I have significant enthusiasm to punch David Pummell in the biscuits :-) | thebigshortfella
15/1/2018 10:18 | Marcy....showing that you can fool some of the people all of the time “The company has announced another funding, today raising £18.4m through a firm placing, a placing and an Open Offer. This will fund the latest strategy which is to enter the renewable fuels market and develop their second biorefinery in the US. They expect FID on this in mid 2019 so there is plenty of time to assess the new strategy. I recently met with CEO David Pummell and he has what can only be described as significant enthusiasm for this project and it certainly seems to have some legs, let’s wait and see” | 25october1969
15/1/2018 09:48 | No, good bye at this level! | yertiz |
