25/8/2017 13:21 | From the outside looks as if the poor TU has spoked the market. I doubt very much whether the bottom has been reached & suspect -30p within days. | cocker
24/8/2017 21:59 | visionon - Yep. Apologies - I forgot to add the year. There are no active shorts listed but it doesn't mean that a company in the States (or elsewhere) isn't shorting VLS. | thebigshortfella
24/8/2017 21:43 | Incredible- 7 years and this is where we are. Someone noted that FUM had spent 14 years listed and achieved sweet FA. Hopefully there will be no more funding for these fantasy stocks. | meijiman
24/8/2017 20:07 | thebigshortfella. those historic shorts show as June and July 2015. Is that what you meant ? | visionon
24/8/2017 19:59 | They have told the market they need more cash in Q2 2018 so the longer we go without positive news about cash flow from ENVIA or contracts the worse it is logically likely to get. Interestingly almost 70% of SII held by four largest shareholders and management/staff. So when there is good news the share price recovery might be decent. Even a return to the placing price of 45p would be a start... A shame really because USA are now punishing Argentina and others over cheap biodiesel imports and as a result the argument for more domestic production grows. Let's hope we get some proper news on ENVIA to coincide with the interims in a months time. In the meantime EV looks to be back down to about £30m, where it was about 7yrs ago...doh !! | visionon
24/8/2017 17:35 | gac141 - I know for a fact that UBS O'Connor Limited had shorts running on VLS during June and July as it's disclosed here on the historical tab: I have been considering to put a long trade on VLS but it doesn't seem like a good idea right now - especially knowing that two companies are actively shorting them... I don't think VLS management can complain about the short selling. They can hurt the short sellers by...seems redundant saying it... | thebigshortfella
24/8/2017 14:46 | This management may be even worse than the bloke who got tic tacced -forgotten his name now. | meijiman
24/8/2017 14:26 | Do the Management have no brains? - Publish at least a photograph of some product, in the real world, being used for something useful. Let the punters see the point of it all. Unless, and I repeat unless, the management are not that daft and a placing or a back door partial sell out is being worked on? It makes you wonder! Either daft or dangerous - certainly not competent! - It is being to look like a virtual reality product! | deutsch3
24/8/2017 13:35 | Short termism investors today get fed-up with waiting, management tend to live in a bubble, university mentality where time is not a factor. Yet in the real world, profits are all that count in a successful business, can't see that happening anytime soon. | beeezzz
24/8/2017 13:32 | Yes it is overdone. I heard two US companies are shorting the stock..apparently that's what they do. They have done this before. I think David is prioritising news only if it is meaningful. I am very hopeful September might bring some decent news. I agree very frustrating. I hope these shorters get stuffed sometime in the near future! | gac141
22/8/2017 23:05 | Revolution Fuels project seems to have stalled:https://good | musarddjm
18/8/2017 16:41 | Pleased to hear that from Susan ...it would make sense for the new FD to be based in Houston. | meijiman
18/8/2017 16:10 | No exec gone because he was brought in originally for a purpose no longer needed.Saves money too. I have spoken to Susan and she is a firm supporter and holder of shares and is fully supportive. Her reasons are personal but it was not down to her being upset or disillusioned with Velocys. She says she will remain a supporter/ holder going forward and will also stay on for a smooth transition to a new CFO which will be based in Houston. I am sure that is one of the main reasons. Why do you think August is a good month for news? September would be much better.... | gac141
18/8/2017 15:43 | I have not been looking at this for a while. I note major executive churn which is not a good sign-more non-exec -but also the Fd. Doesn't bode well in my opinion. There seems to be a lack of action here-when is the next news?? | meijiman
17/8/2017 16:01 | VLS is certainly lost in The Valley of August. | visionon
17/8/2017 14:59 | Is Velocys lost in the Valley of Fog? Read this article: hxxp://www.biofuelsd | fluky
14/8/2017 20:52 | hxxps://www.topsoe.c Uzbekistan GTL plant still progressing. Large scale but good to see that GTL is finding it's feet again. | visionon
09/8/2017 16:50 | This is also a good read. Re energy independence aspect of RFS. hxxp://www.biodiesel | visionon |
