26/1/2017 17:42 | EJ....You were saying about no news, well lets take a look, oh yes. The only reason I brought into VLS was because of the BA jet fuel deal, which just evaporated, leaving me holding what is essentially an R&D loss making company. All this news is encouraging however, it does not add a cent to the bottom line, yet, when they start to make money then I may be slightly more confident, jury is still out with this one. | beeezzz
26/1/2017 14:54 | TRI is in the same place where Velocys is: a promising technology on the verge of commercialization. Their first demo plant is at Fulcrum BioEngergy's Sierra Biofuels plant which is planned to be built close to Reno, Nevada. This plant received a $70M loan guaranty alike Red Rock Biofuels' Lakeview, OR plant. The current state of both projects is unclear. The Sierra Biofuels is expected to start up in 2019 and the Red Rock one has not passed the FID stage. The upside is that a joint development might strengthen a proposed project. | fluky
26/1/2017 13:33 | Just a thought.. from TRIs website on their gasification tech Results TRI has operated the process demonstration unit over an extensive run time (10,000+ h) and demonstrated the conversion of wood waste/forest residuals and MSW into high quality, clean syngas and in turn into Fischer-Tropsch liquids, ASTM spec diesel and jet fuel. MSW = Municipal Solid waste. So potentially this could put the waste to Jetfuel option back on the table. | auphilman
26/1/2017 13:20 | I'm pretty new to this stock and working out where to put stops - obviusly it's a massive potential success story - has it been prone to much MM manipulation in the past? | runthejoules
26/1/2017 10:42 | Looks like a very useful partner going forward... | gac141
26/1/2017 10:31 | Well, there does seem to be some positive business action taking place now, to go along with the undoubted technical pluses of the process that VLS is in business to capitalise on. This is a problem with many scientific and technical endeavors: the company leadership do not always have the same commercial ability as is in the strength of the product. It now looks like we may be at a tipping point where recognician is being given to the ability of the product to make profits from converting small scale waste material to useful green fuel. As a patient, long-term holder, here's hoping ... ... and with the price still having big upside potential, buying or adding now makes a lot as sense, as mused over in my post number 3456, IMHO. | andrewbaker
26/1/2017 10:27 | Well done Gac. | brucie5
26/1/2017 10:23 | One has to remember that this is our showcase and it will be the first one of it's kind anywhere in the world. The globe will be watching and it offers us a massive PR opportunity. It has to be right and David is making sure of that. Good times ahead! | gac141

25/1/2017 11:37 | hxxp://biofuels-news US now net exporter of Ethanol would seem to bode well for continuing support of bio by new administration. Have been wondering how long does it take to start-up and commission a plant like ENVIA? Trying to get an idea found a couple of articles about BIOX Houston Biodiesel production facility. 90 million U.S. gallon facility so poss 3 times capacity of Envia. BIOX already runs several other sites. Acquisition of site was scheduled to complete by the end of June 16. Plant commissioning and start-up was to ramp up over the third quarter of 2016. The facility started operating at full capacity in December 2016, with commissioning completed on 19/01/17. So it took them somewhere between 203 days (starting 01/07/16) and 141 days (starting 01/09/16) Envia is 128 days in so far. hxxp://www.worldener hxxp://www.canadianb | realfreeloader

23/1/2017 18:51 | Gac141: no doubt the Velocys crew is working hard but we want the Velocys management to communicate much more frequently. | fluky |
