18/5/2010 13:30 | Well someone just paid 5 quid for 25000. p/e of 40 now - wish AIM rated stocks that way! Could do with my whole portfolio listing in HK or Nasdaq. Header needs changing to Most OVERVALUED stock on AIM now i think. Certainly for AIM probably not for those darn yankies though. | stegrego

18/5/2010 11:27 | Very little chat about this share. Very odd given the rise in the share price. Can't help thinking the Americans will take a lot more notice of the company. | evaluate
17/5/2010 15:23 | I thought this was expensive at 300p, so what that makes it at 450p (apart from me being wrong) Ive no idea! | stegrego

14/5/2010 13:09 | miti 1000 Good to see a report for the US market. They hardly have a large amount of debt to pay off, must only mention that as a matter of procedure for SEC documents. The US will love the Velti client base. I will be surprised if we don't see some real volume in 90 minutes. | hyper al
14/5/2010 12:18 | Someone hear tipped WIN plc [ticker WNN] as being in a similar line of business so I bought some at £1.15 and there's now a likely takeover at £1.41 - what a steal compared to this! | backwoodsman
14/5/2010 12:13 | 14/05 11:54 - UPDATE: Velti Planning Nasdaq IPO After Swing To Profit (Adds detail, background) By Hannah Benjamin and Jason Douglas Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES LONDON (Dow Jones)--Mobile phone advertising software company Velti PLC (VEL.LN) Friday said it is planning an initial public offering on the Nasdaq after reporting a swing to profit in 2009 because of a boom in mobile advertising. The company didn't say how much it plans to raise, and wasn't available for comment Friday, but said it will use the proceeds to pay off its debts and expand globally, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Jefferies & Co. is the bookrunner for the IPO, and RBC Capital Markets, ThinkEquity, Needham & Co. and Cannacord Genuity are managers. The company has had a presence in the U.S. for some time, with some of its largest clients in the region including Coca-Cola (KO), Colgate and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ). Friday it announced a swing to a net attributable profit of $6.46 million in 2009, compared with a loss of $6.13 million a year earlier and said it wants to expand its global presence. It has operations in places like China and India, which it has entered through joint venture agreements, but also has its own offices in regions like Greece, the U.S. and U.K. Total revenue grew to $90 million from $62 million in 2009, as more and more companies sought to reach consumers through ads on mobile devices. It closed the year with net debt of $38.9 million, although it also had $19.7 million of cash reserves. In its statement Friday, Chief Executive Alex Moukas said Velti stands to benefit from the shift in marketing spending towards more precisely targeted campaigns that clients can get a measurable return from. The need for more measurable returns on marketing spend has been driven by the recession, as companies wanted evidence their cash wasn't being wasted and to see how effective their marketing tactics were. Velti--which in November was named by Deloitte as one of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa--said more than 450 brands, advertising agencies, mobile operators and media companies used its platform in 2009 for more than 2,000 campaigns. It said it has the ability to conduct campaigns in more than 35 countries and reach more than 2.5 billion global consumers. | miti 1000
14/5/2010 12:10 | I didnt understand the accounts this morning, thought this was already a bit pricey and so thought maybe the nasdaq was already priced in. Clearly not. Doh! | stegrego

14/5/2010 10:02 | Should see increased trading volume from now, can only be good for this share. Also I assume this will be able to go in an ISA because of the dual listing, this is excellent news, particularly if CGT goes up. Again if it's ISAble we should see more trading volume. | hyper al
14/5/2010 09:50 | Nasdaq listing, nice! | hyper al

14/5/2010 08:26 | I gave up on VEL a while ago just because I could never get my head round their accounts. In particular, their cashflow has always been lousy (as it is in these finals too). Hasn't stopped the share price doubling since I sold though ... | wjccghcc
14/5/2010 07:25 | Anybody able to make head nor tail of these results? EBITDA (by GAAP) up by 285%; EPS down. Admin expenses up by an enormous amount. Can't get my head round them at all. Anybody got more experience with GAAP? Should I be pleased or not? | evaluate
