creddy, l don't short stocks, it's for mugs. Especially given the potential take over news of Cairn oil, this could fly. If you want to short do the index.

You may want to look at the long term chart and the politics currently going on around the world.

When the share price goes up too quickly on small movements in the oil price,IMO a rights issue is on its way..most oilers are not in profit and therefore it makes sense to raise cash at a higher share price then a lower one...

MUMBAI: Natural resources conglomerate Vedanta Ltd. received a boost from the Union Budget after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley did away with export duty on low-grade iron ore but increased import duty on aluminium.

Shares of the company were trading up 7% in the afternoon session before paring gain before closure. It closed down 1% at Rs. 70.70 on Monday on BSE.
