22/5/2013 10:31 | rmart - I agree with you about Uranium and that it has to make a come back, but I have been waiting a very long time. And it doesn't matter how compelling the long term argument is, the fact remains VML are not being transparent and are directionless right now. Why is David Newton leaving? Why are they not drilling any copper targets? Why are the results delayed? And what is the cash in the bank? Until these questions are answered, I can't see the price flying up, as much as I would like it to. And as for Uranium, it is no longer any part of VML's plans and they are now just looking to sell their uranium business for whatever they can get. | martin c-j
22/5/2013 09:12 | Well, THAT is good research | rmart
21/5/2013 09:37 | Well we got 2 purchases of 1 million shares, totalling £14,000 worth. Nice to see and a vote of confidence or a leap of faith. | martin c-j
21/5/2013 09:26 | Yes they could have found a buyer...just as likely they have a new partner to open endedly fund their copper exploration perhaps RTZ has decided it's to good an opportunity to pass up!! | kooba
21/5/2013 09:09 | Could they have found a buyer for the uranium assets as stated in previous announcement ? | rmart
21/5/2013 08:57 | Kooba - that's what I said ... what do they know? Maybe assets are worth more than the total market cap. Which isn't hard! | gazza102
21/5/2013 08:53 | They don't have a producing licence...they have a mill and they have a j/v to share profits from someone else's ore.Admittedly this gives them cash flow but they do not own the asset in the ground...they did have their own mine diablito which proved shorter lived than they hoped and I believe is now exhausted and closed. There has been talk of further j/vs over the years to expand production and to seek to buy their own resource...but like all that is Vane nothing has come of this. But someone is buying...what do they know? | kooba
21/5/2013 08:36 | Well look at the market cap, under £4m, how much is the producing licence alone worth ? Much more than that. IMO this is a great opportunity for a new CEO , a company on aim that actually has production income . | rmart
21/5/2013 08:32 | Be nice to at least know who will be running what's left of the company though...if there's not enough uncertainty with there being no idea where the company goes from here as it seems to have no real business plan lets at least have a succession plan. | kooba
21/5/2013 08:00 | I can understand the disappointment , from a newby point of view getting in under a penny seems good value to me. Market cap around £4m at a penny and around that in half yr revenue. | rmart
20/5/2013 22:33 | rmart.. Vane has baggage and a historical consistency to disappoint. I am still here much reduced a good while back hoping the porphyry will start in earnest again.. hoping in vain... pun intended. | phsycho
20/5/2013 21:06 | Well, I've been doing some reading and I still don't get why it's so low. The last results were good, they have an income stream and seem to be doing ok. I feel the next results will be crucial. | rmart
20/5/2013 16:55 | rmart - In a nutshell: Something has gone wrong with their business plan and they are not doing what they said they would. On top of that the chief exec has just quit. Markets don't like uncertainty and that's why they have been sold off. On the plus side they are processing as much ore as they can through their mill in Mexico, but after that I am at a loss to say what is going well. They have a decent porphyry copper prospect, McGhee Peak, with a 1 in 3 chance of success. And several other copper targets to drill, but nothing is happening with the drill bit. They have two decent uranium resources in the Wate and Rose projects, that they are taking as far as they can in the permitting stage, but they have to sell them because they dont have the money or partner to develop them. And they have a nuisance lawsuit against the US govt to get some compensation for the dept of the interior saying they can't do new mining where they planned. They had about £1 million in cash as of end of June 2012, I have no idea how much cash they have today, but they have delayed their final results until June, when they usually release them in April or early May. So something is up there. I am one of the last cheerleaders here, but I do get the feeling I am swimming against the tide. | martin c-j
20/5/2013 16:29 | new to this one. I bought a few today (my trade not showing). I may be missing something but I cannot see why it dropped so much. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks | rmart
20/5/2013 16:02 | I don't think any orders have gone through above 0.6p yet, but it's nice to see the MMs finally realising that their mark down last week was a little over zealous. | martin c-j
20/5/2013 15:33 | Now "up 30%" ! (0.65 mid) | asmodeus
20/5/2013 15:18 | Someone keeps buying - Not sure why!!! Anyone? | gazza102
20/5/2013 15:05 | Nice to know £2,000 worth of buys is enough to lift this 15%. | martin c-j
20/5/2013 12:15 | Vane "up 15%" according to ADVFN, now. | asmodeus
16/5/2013 19:49 | Martin.. add a new CEO buying a shedload of shares to your list.... | phsycho
16/5/2013 18:52 | Martin the job is available ...if you achieve your wish list I would fully endorse a handsome options package!! | kooba |
