20/2/2013 11:36 | What about just banking the money???? | gazza102
20/2/2013 11:30 | I hope we get an invite to the wedding! Now if we could just get a few million dollars compensation out of the US government, and restart coper exploration, all will be rosy. | martin c-j
20/2/2013 10:34 | Nope. But if he turns this around I'll marry him and have his children;¬) M | marnewton
20/2/2013 10:12 | Martin, you're not related to David are you? | martin c-j
20/2/2013 09:40 | Well I've been on silent running for a while...still holding and adding today...good to see some familiar faces here. Possible triple bottom on the chart...will be confirmed on two closes above 1.275p, though 1.40p would be better;¬) Agree richgit/martin, nuke is the only way forward! ATB Martin | marnewton
20/2/2013 09:27 | The world has no option but to go nuclear right now. The global warming is only going to get worse, and the chief culprit is CO2. So countries will have to go nuclear, because if they don't the consequences could get much worse. But equally going nuclear, will leave generations to come with the problem of dealing with the waste. Human beings are pretty resourceful so I think they will come up with a better way of dealing with it. Hey, VML may come good one day..... | martin c-j
20/2/2013 09:27 | Great news | spaceparallax
20/2/2013 09:25 | Credit where its due. Agreed Gazza, now need to see the cash position and a clearly defined strategy going forward - one which is credible, value enhancing, not prone to changes and rewarding. | kemche
20/2/2013 09:16 | Good news at last. Be interesting how much cash in the bank they have now which should underpin share price. Next news should be on strategy going forward. | gazza102
20/2/2013 09:04 | This is excellent news for VML It might not be what all Pi`s want-yet if they can keep piling up the cash and patiently wait for the inevitable resurgance in appetite for Uranium VML could eventually hit the road running with no opportunity for the nasty brigade to spread innuendo that VML needs cash. As I said quite some time ago- even Germany is telling political fibs that they can possibly do without the supply of Nuclear power even if the con is to get it from France, which puts stresses on France`s own Capabilities. Imagine the lights going out in Germany !!!! Japan has realised they cannot switch off Nuclear, and the situation still exists whereby wind power blows up when the wind blows. Much of the Green energy dream was/is for the days when all the West felt rich, yet now it is down to needing a percentage of at least reliable power,as the Chinese know full well. | richgit
20/2/2013 08:40 | Great rns.Sit and hold long term for meSoo undervalued | cmrfan
20/2/2013 08:37 | Nice to see lots of volume and lots of buys. Let's hope we can break the 1 p level and establish a new range. | martin c-j
20/2/2013 07:49 | Whichever way you look at it - it's a vert good release! I was trading these at 20p+ years ago! Bought back in at 3.25p - so not so clever but always looked good! | bashers2
20/2/2013 07:29 | As expected, what was all the fuss about? ;) 20% increase in production capacity bodes well going forward before 2nd mill comes online. | opaldouglas
20/2/2013 07:20 | Well done Vane. No surprises and just as they predicted. The city likes predictability, and so do I. | martin c-j
20/2/2013 07:05 | Positive update out this morning, looking good in Mexico | thinking
17/2/2013 14:51 | Hi gandalf, the list of reasons really span many years but in essence is the inability of management to stick to one plan whilst having to raise monies at at lonely prices. Whilst management have failed to deliver, things have taken a turn for the better in the last year regarding Mexican Gold & Silver revs, although in the grand scheme of things revs aren't huge... this will be a record year for Vane and revenues in 2012/13 will be more than the last 4 years combined! Also Vanes JV partner plans to double production which is likely to start late this year or early 2014. With £1M (hopefully!) in the bank and a market cap of £3M I still think Vane is undervalued. They could be due a great deal in compensation from US government for Uranium assets that have been withdrawn and still the Wate project which is being progressed which adds value. On top of this they have a large exploration portfolio which has shown a great deal of promise. The huge uncertainty which is currently evident is the decision to look for a joint Venture partner to progress exploration, whilst this could be a good move in terms of getting more holes drilled it would imply that current cash generated from Mexico isn't enough to roll out a sufficient exploration programme. On top of this Vane is also now looking at other opportunities to create shareholder value (I hate that term!) but how this will be achieved is unknown give they probably only have £1M in the bank. Anyway, plenty of positives and negative to way up. If Vane were to get things right and by this I mean continue good work in Mexico and expand production, work up Wate Uranium project and bring a JV partner in to drill copper targets the potential here for a re rating is huge, if they continue to not deliver I expect we'll bounce between current price levels and circa 1.25p and be a £3-5M pound company until something changes. 16/2/2013 12:26 | Guys, I've invested in here and I'd appreciate your thoughts. I know we are waiting an update. Why does the company have such a low market cap? | gandalf1971
14/2/2013 12:21 | Gazza - I have pestered management enough, and they are well aware of the problems they have, and are doing what they can to improve things. I don't think it would prove anything if I thumped the desk and demanded they pull a rabbit out of a hat. I just want them to stick with the plan and do what they say they will. I really don't want any surprises with the next mexico update. They have said it will be in line with expectations. I just want that to be the case. | martin c-j
14/2/2013 11:11 | Martin - i agree - You should put your concerns to the management. And get answers!!!! Hope will dont get a RNS tomorrow - Friday in my experience is a bad day for News - Last one came out on a Friday!!!!! | gazza102
14/2/2013 10:22 | From the 2 November 2012 RNS: VANE is confident that production grades and revenue for Q4 will increase and be consistent with results achieved prior to the Q3 rainy season From the 11 January 2013 RNS: The Company's gold and silver operations at its joint venture in Mexico continue in line with expectations and an announcement regarding production in Quarter 4 2012 is expected to be made in February 2013. So if they come out with anything worse than $2 million in revenue, then I would like to know why, and also what made them say everything was in line with expectations. It's almost as if I am expecting them to miss. Now, why do I have this feeling? Surely I should have more confidence in management. I don't know. But for some reason am I am very pessimistic and think things are not alright. As for the copper exploration program, it's clearly gone wrong. The 4 targets a year is not happening. The diamond drilling at McGhee Peak is not happening. The gap in revenues from Mexico in the last quarter has resulted in everything coming to a grinding halt. They led with Uranium news in their last trading update, and that was a surprise as management hasn't wanted to talk about uranium prospects for months, and copper was their main interest now. They are obviously trying to get someone to front the money for the copper exploration progam. You just wonder who or what that might be and if it will be to the detriment of existing shareholders. All of this pessimism, is clearly reflected in the price. 0.65p! Just says it all. Is there any news that can propel this above 1p, where there are all those holders who bought into the massive placing who are just dying to get out at breakeven. Just wish I could find my rose tinted glasses. | martin c-j
13/2/2013 16:56 | They're not exploring and they're not self-funded if they're seeking partners. | pilot48
13/2/2013 14:41 | Combo Exactly and we are paying all those explorers for what!!!!! | gazza102
13/2/2013 14:36 | It's been a while since I was invested here. Share price is as expected: they really need to get drilling or at least provide some schedule for investors to look forward to. It's not a self-funded exploration company if they're not exploring. | combo83
13/2/2013 12:50 | My own fault - I guess I will add a 1 in front of it. I guess it will either be zero or something higher!!!!!!! | gazza102 |
