Volume not great really, but a few 500k purchases by the look of it sucking up the small number of shares being sold - and the near 2 million reported a few days ago.

The way I see this share is that it has favorable upside/downside; the cash flow pays to keep the company afloat and provides funds to explore, whilst the upside is from expanding their gold/silver JV and blue sky potential of hitting a decent amount copper. That's not bad considering the number of small mining stocks that don't have any cash flow, and their share prices suffer from impending dilution at ever lower prices as the debt markets aren't keen to help at the moment.

If they can get the Q4 figures back to the level of the Q2 figures, and get ratchet up the gold production to twice where are now by the end of H1 next year, that would feed into a decent amount of exploration, and put some momentum back under the share price. If we can get that and a favorable flow of risk appetite on stocks like these I think we should be at or around Northlands target of 1.7p.

I was somewhat confused at today's fall following reasonable buying throughout the day but the 2M trade just after the bell clears that up!

Possibly a good buying opportunity on the run up to new year when things will swing back into life?

Strange action today, dropping in price when larger buys went through later in the day, and buys outnumbering sells @ 2:1 according to iii.
Weird.

Lots of buys going through at 0.75p. Not very happy to see another drop back in price. Hasn't really been much good news flow for the last 3 months. Would be nice to see some progress on the drilling front.

Katsy - I think thats why alot of us are here - Its like the lottery. I also do that and dont think I will win but you never know. When the jackpot is bigger I go out of my way to play it. Its human nature. Not a good thing I may add!!

I was here since 2004, finally gave up about a year ago. The company is run by the old boys for the old boys, one day they may hit the big one then again I may win the lottery, that's how owning this one felt.

Yeah, Gazza you have also sadly been around.
Well, it was my first resource stock and it was also my first stock outside Stockholm stockexchange (I´m from Sweden) and I have learnt a lot since then.
Now I have left the aim-market and I´m only buying on the TSX. Buying only companys with proven resources close to production or buyout and they trading now dirtcheap.
Despite everything Vane has still a place in my heart and I´m sticking here to the end.

Kiruna - I think there are a couple of us still left!!! But I can understand your thinking. If I could turn back the clock or had a crystal ball!!!!!

I´ve been around here since 2007 and I have an average of 14 p for this stock. I think Katsy and me are the only ones left from that time. So you can call us whatever you like.
The only reason I keep this stock is to remind me to never ever buy this kind of stock anymore.

All points are valid - Both Negative and positive. Vane record has not been great but could be if and its a big if they find something.

Copper portfolio
-- Copper-molybdenum porphyry system successfully drilled at McGhee Peak. Two mineralised targets have been identified, located approximately one mile apart, within a clearly identified porphyry system, containing copper, molybdenum and zinc. A diamond drilling programme is planned
-- Peg Leg and Railroad drilled with negative results
-- Property positions also established at Bouse, Lone Hills and Cherry Creek
-- Initial exploration work at Bouse has produced strong anomalous gold and copper values
Uranium portfolio

an update on what we already have in the pipeline might have been appropriate.

This is not a company. It`s a playhouse for geoligists.

whatever happened to their existing copper prospects that hey would drill 1 per Q, or is that 1 per year now. lol. Guys move on this is just a company gravy train, but to date after 9 years they still haven't found anything themselves. Who needs experts when you have Vane!

It sounds like a good deal. Not much cost if will dont find anything and alot of upside if we do.

But Point taken Kooba

Maybe another classic sideways lurch from Vane?
Very detailed licence though, weighted in the company's favour to deploy idle staff while the paperwork elsewhere gets crunched and the pennies are accumulated for the diamond drilling.

Hmmm, interesting new prospect. No doubt Vane will be in there fairly quickly, assess the prospect and if it's no go terminate the agreement. If on the other hand there's something large and coppery ...
