21/2/2013 12:33 | Kemche - I agree with your comment about buying Idaho Re profit should be higher because they are not spending it on exploring. Maybe giving it to all thier explorers sitting on their hands!!!!! I would like them to hurry up in telling us what they are going to do moving forward. I don't think its too much to ask. | gazza102
21/2/2013 12:25 | 250k max at full 0.8p offer online, managed to get some but the cheap ones are gone again, but 0.8p is still lower than 1p they chased to on the rns | 34simon
21/2/2013 12:17 | M C-J, "Why would they have bought the rights to the Idaho copper prospect just to mothball it?". Indeed. But why would they buy it and then announce on the 11th Jan 2013 that the copper project "require additional funding beyond the present funding capabilities of the Company." Curious way of conducting a business. It just seems odd that someone would buy an asset and then go cap in hand to seek assistance "both financially and operationally" to develop the asset. | kemche
21/2/2013 11:44 | Sorry Gazz - you are right. I was thinking of the last 1p with the bucket shop. | kemche
21/2/2013 11:31 | The last and lowest fundraising was at 1p. There's been nothing at 0.5p. The last time I raised the issue of fundraising with management, about 2 to 3 months ago, it was dismissed out of hand. The directors all have large holdings and don't want to see any dilution either. I am expecting some announcements re copper before we get the results in April. Why would they have bought the rights to the Idaho copper prospect just to mothball it? | martin c-j
21/2/2013 11:02 | Kemche - there was not I rundraise at 0.5p - 2p and 1p if I remember rightly. Probably a few more before that too. | gazza102
21/2/2013 10:45 | I looked briefly yesterday, those numbers do look a lot better, as normal the price got chased up so I thought if I wait a day or two I will get stock a bit cheaper, as normal at 1-1.1p people were piling in, could not buy quick enough, now 20% + cheap the price is dead, punters never learn, buy when quiet and cheap and take profits on the spike, watching and waiting, around 0.75p will interest me. | 34simon
21/2/2013 10:34 | M C-J, that's rather emphatic. I recall the fundraise at 0.5p which was described as "opportune" at the time. 34Simon, I would do some research into this company before dipping my toe - ignore the stuff about "databases" and the combined expertise of the board of some few thousand years of discovering elephantine deposits around the world - the reality for holders here has been rather different. The patient here are simply looking for a clearly defined strategy executed competently with a view to extracting value for the long suffering shareholders. And I would wait until we are clearer on the exact funding position here. | kemche
21/2/2013 10:07 | They could always use more money, but there is no likelihood of a placing if that's what you are worried about. | martin c-j
21/2/2013 09:12 | Does Vml need any funding, watching with a view to getting in, price very weak atm so looking promising for cheap entry today ? | 34simon
20/2/2013 22:05 | Agree good stuff. Revenues in H2 were $3.8m up from $3.4 in H1. Costs were up in H2 from(using gold equivalent) $652 to approx $745. Price of silver in H2 would have been broadly the same-probably a tad higher-than the $31 received in H1. Overall a smallish decline in operating profit over H1 as per my back of the envelope calculation. Incidentally many gold mining companies would be very happy with the $688 Q4 direct cost for gold production. | cerrito
20/2/2013 16:41 | Fair point Nick. They aren't the same as profits, but what was important was that they met expectations. There has been some doubt as to whether the company could meet guidance, and with those figures, they have. You could probably compare them with previous results and predict some kind of profit, but you really have to wait until the finals before you can get confirmation. Last year the finals were in April. What we need to see now is a clear plan going forward for copper exploration, and how it is going to be funded. They are working on this and we should get an update soonish. | martin c-j
20/2/2013 16:17 | Revenues up, but what about a profit? What was the cost to get that revenue up? I found the figures meaningless without a context. Anyone else see that or am I missing something? | nick rubens

20/2/2013 12:32 | Gazza, it is the 1p barrier. Lots of people who bought in the placing at 1p, just wanting to get out at breakeven. It needs other news to propel it above this level. | martin c-j
20/2/2013 12:28 | Where do you get your .65????????? It is 30% higher than that and holding steady. Just got a quote, you can buy at 0.88p, and sell at 0.78p. | martin c-j
