26/7/2007 13:46 | seagreen, you owe me an apology!! UMN are paying the dividend in "NIGER" shares!! | papillon
25/7/2007 16:35 | Price jumped before close. Saw there was a purchase in Canada of 104,000shares. Is it to late now for another bid? Also there has been talk about a final dividend does anyone know what that be? | pollysmate
24/7/2007 17:10 | According to the RNS it appears that the share distribution relating to the Niger JV will be distributed to existing shareholders at the point of takeover (or am I reading it wrong?) "The dividend will be payable to UraMin shareholders of record immediately before (and subject to) the take up of shares by CFMM Developpement under its takeover bid..." | postaq
23/7/2007 20:03 | Still got some. Not sure whether just to hold on as share price has fallen. The fall was prob due to an announcement made that Uranium mining was at risk in Niger.Anyhows, any thoughts on this URANIUM stock,URA. | italian tiger
23/7/2007 18:53 | The share price now more closely resembles the take over price. Today was the closing date for shareholders to accept. I sold the rest of mine last week. | simonbroughton
23/7/2007 17:26 | No, sold out entirely within a week of the bid. Shame really that there isn't another pure U miner with an LSE quote. Following the UR Asia merger, I suppose we have to wait for SXR When is the London quote due - September ? | relko
23/7/2007 16:33 | I sold my last UMN shares early last week relko; do you still hold? | papillon
23/7/2007 14:18 | SP seems to have fallen out of bed today. Now showing 278-280. Down 11p Presume this a delayed reaction to the currency movement as the bid was in USD. | relko
23/7/2007 13:18 | Anyone know why the sudden fall today? | pollysmate
10/7/2007 11:22 | Hi Netsdeal, I'll look at those. Did you look at IRG? Been very strong last few days. | papillon
10/7/2007 08:46 | sorry, price has just gone up a bit at this minute | netsdeal
10/7/2007 08:24 | hi, all, in case anyone's interested, i've just seen AFE announcing six uranium projects in Zambia and Tanzania today... | netsdeal
06/7/2007 15:49 | chriz, it soon won't exist as an independent company. It will be part of Areva, or somebody else, in the unlikely event of a counter bid. So why start a new thread and why is it a must have if it will soon cease to exist?? cloud, why post old articles? | papillon
06/7/2007 15:39 | All the above very interesting but its Areva thats going to benefit unless someone else makes a counter bid pretty soon and there doesn't seem to be any sign of that at the moment. | pollysmate
06/7/2007 14:34 | UraMin is focused on advancing its 100%-owned Trekkopje uranium project in Namibia to the completed feasibility study stage. Should such a feasibility study be sufficiently positive, initial mining and processing operations could be in place before the end of 2007. The Company is also drilling and expects to commence feasibility studies at its 90%-owned Bakouma uranium project in the Central African Republic , and advanced exploration activities are underway at its 74%-owned Ryst Kuil uranium project in South Africa . UraMin's experienced management team has a proven track record in mine development particularly in the African Continent. UraMin intends to bring these near surface open pitable projects, into production, utilizing efficient mining and processing methods currently in practice world wide in similar deposits in a cost effective manner. UraMin also has a number of exploration projects in both Africa (Chad, Senegal, Niger, Mozambique and Bakouma additional areas) and joint venture projects in Canada (the Rea Project within the Athabasca Basin in Alberta and the Labrador Project in Quebec) on which it is advancing exploration programmes that could provide a pipeline of potentially economic uranium projects for the future. Areva has annouced a takeover bid aswell. This is for anyone looking for fast growth over a short period of time. | cloud3941
06/7/2007 14:30 | Its a must have for anyone interested in mining shares. | chriz0528
06/7/2007 14:28 | INCREASED 600%+ SINCE IT FLOATED ON AIM IN 2006. WITH UK SUBSITUTING FOREIGN ENERGY FOR NUCLEAR POWER ITS TIPPED TO BE NUMBER 1 SHARE THIS DECADE! | chriz0528
06/7/2007 00:05 | cheers, pap. shall definitely have a look soon - just too busy getting ready for a long holiday at the mo. disappointed to see (albeit having anticipated) NYMEX futures exchange has now indeed created spot 'volatility' too. hope uranium stock consolidation will be over when coming back... (this should happen before spot resumes uptrend, perhaps as soon as the next week, if the general market holds). the mining index is making a new high nevertheless thanks to renewed strength in base metal prices; and O&G index is also making a year-high and recovering strongly... happy investing! | netsdeal
05/7/2007 17:37 | Hi Netsdeal, re IRG and your comment that Evil had recently mentioned it. Well he has recently sold his shares in the similar EDR for a 3 bagger (mentioned on EDR thread). I know both companies have O&G expo interests as well but I believe the main asset for both companies is their gas storage prospects. EDR have the potential I billion cubic metre capacity site in the UK (Portland) whilst IRG have the 3.2 billion cubic metre capacity site in Italy (Po Valley). I know EDR are farther advanced with Portland than IRG are with Po Valley but even then the Market Caps seem out of line when you consider that Po Valley will have 3 times the storage capacity of Portland. And Italy has just as much an urgent need for gas storage capacity as the UK. Yet EDR has a Mkt Cap of £160 million whilst the Mkt Cap of IRG is only £22 million. I would say IRG is very undervalued. They also have 2 promising expo plays as well; CBM in Italy (potentially 215 billion cubic feet of gas) plus a prospect in Tunisia. Putting my money where my mouth is I sold more UMN today to invest in IRG. | papillon
04/7/2007 14:00 | Hi Netsdeal. I to have sold some KAH after Martins comment. I will look at AUR. IRG is my banker. "Hole in the ground, big and sort of round it was". Bernard Cribbins? | papillon
04/7/2007 13:21 | Hi, pap (and Martin). Re KAH, i quite agree with Martin's analysis posted on the KAH board yesterday, and took half profit. The volume does seem to be dying out. i've just put the proceeds into AUR, a gem that no one seems to have noticed. Last night after markets closed, there appeared a piece of non-regulatory Thomson Financial news, saying KazakhGold plans to make 160p bid for Aurum Mining... not many people have noticed this (not RNS news, and posted after 5pm). if it's confirmed soon, it'll give me some quick profit. Yes, i thnik Evil also mentioned IRG recently - i'm keeping an eye on it. cheers. | netsdeal
03/7/2007 12:24 | Hi Netsdeal and Martin. Many thanks Martin for update on US dollar. I think the 3 of us will do well out of KAH. And TMC Netsdeal. I have sold some UMN to put into IRG. They are currently in talks with major integrated and non integrated gas majors who are keen to take stakes in their potentially massive underground Italian gas storage facility. They look to be very, very undervalued compared to the similar EDR business. I reckon IRG is worth a look gentlemen. I like the look of the chart Martin. What does the "professsional" chartist think? My short term target is 90-100p. | papillon
02/7/2007 19:41 | Is there any reason to continue holding these? Would appreciate any views on if there is a good reason to hold on to these.. | brad44
02/7/2007 15:21 | o/t: KAH and TMC only. i'm blushing, pap, but glad to have called both KAH and TMC right on Friday morning. pleased for you (and myself) to have topped up KAH timely on Friday. I also topped up TMC on Friday (I think you did a few days before me), and i'm also very pleased to see that TMC is indeed today starting to resume its exciting uptrend ... i can just see cash roaring in TMC... | netsdeal
02/7/2007 11:07 | Hi pap, I've just had a quick (belated!) look at the US Dollar Index. There are huge bullish divergences being displayed by MACD on both Weekly and Daily charts. These are no good for timing but suggest a reversal soon. There's also a potential Double Bottom forming on the Daily chart. This is underlined by Cable topping out(?). All, I sold some more UMN last week. I'm using it like money in the bank;@) I am doubtful of a rival bid now and looking forward to 'Niger'. Good luck, Martin | marnewton |
