Neither of these show in the Sell column, they are in the undefined column so don't necessarily agree with that statement

Oil price showing as 54.74. That 150k green line on LSE shows as a sell at 8.05am @ 6p. Late same as yesterday. Agree we have a 6p seller.

Oil and majors getting a decent bid so what chance a trickle down in interest to place us firmly into the 6.25p floor area?

It has to be coming.

Looks like the persistent 6p seller is still about...
I'm guessing until they are have finished selling we will stay at this level/range without further news.

It would be nice to see these small incremental gains back in play again. Here's hoping for another positive day again tomorrow.

Calm, just looked, oil right now $53.80 if it carries on like it has started this week I can quite believe 60 in 3 months. We shall see.

Nice closing price now.

But surely the BoD want to off-load the legacy debt those issued shares are holding?

They aren't necessary, or am I wrong and even fewer shares on the open market whatever the ratio is safe as long as Adler have 44%?

Let's see if new ISA period on Thursday kickstarts this again too. I can see plenty of takers for the new £20,000 threshold and UEN should see double figures during the next fiscal year - without capital reduction.

I agree moggy, with good stewardship and drilling/production results this will find its own share price hopefully many times its present.

Wanna brew - totally agree - I for one will be happy if there is no consolidation of shares - consolidation is synonymous with reduction of shareprice - how many times have you seen a share move from, for example, £1 to 10p - shares consolidated back to £1 and then further falls... Much better to leave the shareprice as it is and allow it to recover itself. (All the successful companies actually do the opposite and share split - so personally I'm happy to wait for our shareprice to grow itself!)

I prefer the company just to carry out capital reduction on it's own so there is an option for a dividend payout later down the line if the company decide this is right.
However even then I would think the company would be better off reinvesting the cashflow into South Dagi/Komi/Arcticneft development rather then paying out token dividends to shareholders and burning into a cash pile we don't even have :-/

Longer term obviously when the company is successfully cash generative and has a large stockpile then I will be more then happy to receive dividends.

But there were noticeable volumes when Fire East were accumulating and, as I pointed out to Moggy, if the disclosure 'rules' didn't apply then with Russia/Cyprus then why would they be so compliant now with that statement RNS?

Moggy also pointed out how the Russian directors see things differently, and having been invested in UEN for nine years I have seen plenty of, shall we say, errant behaviour when it suits them about full and proper disclosure.

But whatever the new leaf regime, the basic volumes have not been evident and those, I assume, can't be that misleading to suggest a stealth accumulator. The stock patterns have been normal trading volumes only imho aside from increased PI interest as in all O&G plays.

Did any of those issue 'statements'? Do a search of them and see the general rises across the board from late November and the OPEC and Russian cuts announcements.

Whatever, the garden calls in 31.

Just don't see those words revisited for the moment. Not even the slightest mention since that first RNS in January and they've done a couple of updates since, where they had the chance.

As moggy mentioned FireEast made no announcements of holdings despite passing the thresholds and took about 4 months of stealthy accumulating.

I still find it odd that the Co made that announcement of Capital Reduction, Consolidation without the exact details to be voted on by shareholders at an EGM. IMO it was like they were firing a warning shot. Why announce before they have the detail?

Its all conjecture and possibly nothing.

Just add btw, I think that second back up RNS about being fully financed was the same a warning shot making the position doubly clear that they are fully financed for 2017.Why did they feel the need ? Was it just about a few investors ringing up making the enquiry. Seems odd to say the same thing the following day just because a few shareholder make contact.

Fair enough Moggy. I accept that the wording was awful considering the here and now but still can't accept that it hangs well with management wanting the share price rising ahead of themselves just yet.

They can micro manage when they want, of that I have no doubt!

Steady buying is what we need to see and, IMHO, a revisit to those words 'Capital Reduction' and 'dividend' and we should then see some renewed fireworks in the share price

It will be sooner than later during this quarter IMHO

Topicel, you say they could make quarterly updates, if I remember right that's what they said they would do. Don't ask me when that was but I'm pretty sure that's what they said when we got at them. And what happened to the monthly questions and answers ? ( for what they were worth)

Lol chav, you put it far more succinctly than I! My mind was elsewhere in replying to Moggy and reading back he did well not to blow a gasket. Sorry Djm, we are both long it seems and just do differ in the need/intent as to the infamous 'statement' I guess.

So, one last go, with feeling!

The BoD could easily switch to quarterly updates and reporting if they wanted to lead the market ahead of June 2018 on the better numbers we expect to see this year. Starting, and why not, this month...

As for implying potential, other companies do it all the time. In all manner of ways including RNS. I'm sure we can agree our house broker hardly does great PR?

They had issued plans to do a capital restructure and issue a dividend potentially in an RNS. So they could quite easily have reiterated those public intentions, after leading with the oil price gains etc. as the principal reason that they saw for the share price enhancement. They chose to be negative and quoshed the progress that, as I say, is not excessive at all over a few weeks.

Good Sentiment was stalled; you believe it is our BoD be good boys and reacting to the LSE when our history doesn't suggest that is our usual behaviour! I tend to think there is a bigger plan being developed.

As you say, it is now a mute point. Without operational good news we are range bound and undervalued. Why?
