Now that's the positive sort of positve press that we need to get fresh buyers into UEN rather then the price been propped up by the usual suspects upping their holding (no names mentioned!!)

Zak has a nice little bunch of followers who should be buying in near term or at least keeping on their radar on the back of that write -up :-)

from Zak Mir "As far as Urals Energy (LON:UEN) is concerned it may be noted that the shares have consolidated well in the wake of the announcement earlier this month regarding plans for Kolguyev Island, and for the South Dagi licence area on Sakhalin Island. It is to be assumed that approval for both these zones would drive forward the company’s drilling hopes and prospects considerably.

As far as the technical picture is concerned, as derived from the daily chart, we are looking at a situation whereby one can assume shares of Urals Energy have been in a rising trend channel since as long ago as the beginning of 2015. The assumption to make now is that provided there is no weekly close back below the 50 day moving average at 4.91p, the upside here could be as great as the 2015 resistance line projection at 10p. The time frame on such a move is regarded as being the next 3-4 months."

Not a bad day, 2m shares traded. 1.5m buy against 500k sold.

A good few 100k and 50k buys and few sells between now and Friday and we are away I reckon. That 7p looks good to me.

Nor the Capital Restructure proposed in the future as a means to rid us of the penny share tag once and for all and interest bigger and better fund holdings...

1:17 is a complete re-rate in my books and if accompanied by the aforementioned dividend temptation even more instis can be included in our trawl of new blood.

Peer price averages are around 20p - as best can be estimated - while potential suitors were dismissed with contempt three years ago at 12.25p. The main holder has 44% so a tight stock too.

Even Russia is becoming flavour of the month again - Merkel even suggesting they be welcomed back into the fold at G20 level soon! What's not to like other than our BoD having a tendency to put their foot in it occasionally like "the know of no reason" RNS the last time we broke out.

But that has been done now and won't be needed again until that 20p appears on the horizon. Lol.

My glass is half full, despite being a gooner ?Building blocks seem to be in place for some upward movement in valuation.Purchase of reserves on Sakhalin, increased production, increased storage facilities, reduced cost of production for combined assets, 2 shipments each year.Upgrade to facilities at Petrosakh, increased storage for exports (better return, lower taxes).Oil price is increasing and way off recent lows.Financing / revolving credit sorted to ramp up development plans and workarounds albeit at extortionate rates above libor.Looking good...........

lets see - technically it could be said that the current 6p is a sell price, in anticipation of another fall down to the rising support at 5p (re my 'flag formation' post earlier)

the issue though is of anticipated newsflow...no-one likes to be caught out & chasing the share price on good news

They have got to be running out of stock soon I would have thought.
Just got back in and seen the business done.

I agree with you Billy, if the demand stays like this a 7p close this weekend is definitely on and the chance of holding it remains on in anticipation of news.

Let's hope it's good when it does come and we have that re rating that's well over due.

I would have thought the MM's have visibility of orders placed and so could factor those in when deciding to move up from 5.75p to 6p or not.

Obviously placed trades done after the move aren't included in this comment, but the speed of execution post move suggests most today were already there

it looked as though a few sell orders had been placed at 6p...although it is setting up to be another healthy volume day with the share price rising

Hopefully with an update to come in the next week, the 6.5p recent closing high, and 7p intraday one can be broken
