I remember saying on this board just after the AGM last year when we were told there would be near term news on Tunisia and Sarawak.

I was only repeating what the board had said at the AGM, but we are still waiting for news on both.

We have really only had news on Wibk (bad)

And winning some bids on IMF (good).

The rest of it is noise. Multiple companies interested in a farmin etc.

nlmbidc I have been investing in miners long enough to know how long these things can sometimes take, I get that. But to be told for most of the year that things are close when they obviously weren't is either incompetence or stretching the truth.

nlmbidc it was TheJABA who said he and some others in the twitterati that would be miffed if they did not follow through.

As for me, I have been miffed for most of the year when RNS after RNS and podacast after podcast have alluded to news soon or updates on Sarawak and Tunisia soon which have not materialised.

It doesn't matter how good a negotiator someone is, you still have to deal with legals, sometimes big oil co"s and government department approvals.

I would start getting miffed now if I were you.

If there are 2 new opportunities in Asia as well as the opportunities mentioned by SS then that is a lot of plates to spin.

We could be lucky and some may fall into place, but I won't be holding my breath.

tyler I am not sure, it is something TheJABA mentioned so not sure how it was put across to the twitterati.

nlmbidc, SS said a lot of things in that podcast, none of which have come to fruition and it is obvious there has been a big change of direction and modus operandi by CP's own words in his oration to the twitterati.
TheJABA was saying 3 or 4 pieces of news ahead of the AGM (which is 13 trading days away) and would be very miffed if it did not happen.
Lets see what happens but I would say it's getting to be a bit of a stretch, wouldn't you?

May be the seat belts ride will start very soon to save our year.

Are you guys 2 pints short of a quart?

Steve Staley said on August 16th that there was potential for a near term price catalyst with farm in and farm out possibilities in Tunisia and news from Sarawak. So that's potentially 3 pieces of news.

Anyone that wants to listen to the discussion with CP on 7th October can do so.

Absolutely agree. Why would UPL allow him access to extra information like 3/4 news releases soon?If he works for Optiva (who may and should have more information than the average investor) and he is disclosing this information in closed social media groups then that is akin to insider trading and illegal is it not?

Sounds to me like Sasha is trying to keep everyone in his twitter group sweet hence the conference call he arranged for them last month. I wouldn't listen to a word he says and I'm sure the Tune group management would have something to say as well especially after his antics at the beginning of the year getting everyone in the twitter group to ramp up the Wick drill to a point of frenzy.

You mean Wick Divmad, we were never in Colter. At least that was a half decent inconclusive result and found hydrocarbons, although it is doubtful it will ever produce.
But you are right since Wick it has been a pretty dire ride apart from acquiring Tunisia, but just like Sarawak as yet nothing has come from it.
We were promised lots by SS and at the end of most Rns promised updates from projects soon but never being able to say which one first and didn't come anyway.

So we have just over 3wks to the Agm in which some have been told we will have 3 or 4 pieces of news. I hope that is right but that is an awful short space of time to produce the goods.

I say six weeks to save our year and at least end with a more respectable Sp instead of being 70% down over the year.

Upl went pear shaped after Coulter. That was the last time the Twitter group was in euphoric mood. Since then, what concrete results have come in here?

Thanks TheJABA, as ever time will tell but this stock has been a harsh lesson thus far in listening to bluster and trusting the company in following through.
Yes the twitter group thought Police do the same on lse, even get your posts removed.

They are all good. I don't see the Malaysians going after trivia.

The Sarawak stuff that the doctor was working on may not come until January once Petros are established by end of year (if that remains on target)
