31/1/2018 13:46 | Excellent interview on Vox. So spudding of Wick late August. This will go up quite a lot I am sure prior to that. tyler thanks. | soulsauce
31/1/2018 13:36 | Latest interview with Stephen Staley hxxp://www.sharepick | sull75
31/1/2018 13:36 | A must read... hxxps://www.voxmarke In a note on this farm-in their broker, Optiva Securities state: “If we assume a commercial discovery at Wick leading to a 75 mmbbls field development (assuming a 30% recovery factor), a conservative NPV of only $7.50/bbl indicates an unrisked valuation of up to US$225m net to Upland. Although a range of administrative, technical and financial factors will need to be addressed and appropriate risk factors applied, we believe that deal enhances Upland’s UK oil and gas portfolio significantly.” | thejaba
31/1/2018 09:32 | Perhaps not a story and more like a convincing investment plan :)) | sull75
31/1/2018 09:28 | Exactly kemche | soulsauce
31/1/2018 09:24 | Soul, We can only surmise that it must have been a "convincing" story told for Tune to pony up £1m! | kemche
31/1/2018 09:16 | I doubt Tune would roll £1m on the Wick dice and hope it doesn't come up with snake eyes. I think it is safe to assume Tune are in for something bigger with the Malaysian connection. | soulsauce
31/1/2018 08:46 | Yes sounds good doesn't it kemche ;-) Now funding is in place I suspect we are getting close to one of those high impact assets. | soulsauce
31/1/2018 08:44 | "The investment by Tune supports Upland's move to the second phase of our strategy, to invest in high impact assets, which will help us realise potentially transformative value growth." | kemche
31/1/2018 08:14 | Good shout, upland always release informative RNS's that don't leave space for misinterpretation. | billyboychrisd
31/1/2018 08:13 | Tony Fernandes has a personal wealth of $650m...looks to me like the next asset could well be Malaysian. | thejaba
31/1/2018 08:06 | Market liking it. Well what's not to like. | soulsauce
31/1/2018 07:44 | Zengas, is a £1mn raise enough for what UPL wants to do, including what's not yet been announced? | divmad
31/1/2018 07:41 | Great news. A new large investor and the Malaysian link strengthened. Great work SS. | soulsauce
31/1/2018 07:39 | Suggests a Malaysian link for the next asset purchase? | divmad
31/1/2018 07:15 | At a further premium to the last 2 placings. Cornerstone investor who will hold almost 17% means the free float still small. | zengas
29/1/2018 13:38 | Further positive momentum today and steady significant buying. I'm quite excited about this share for 2018 (2 years after I bought in at 1.1!!) | billyboychrisd
28/1/2018 23:33 | That's good to hear but assuming the said posters had been pumping and dumping was totally wrong. | soulsauce
28/1/2018 23:30 | Soulsauce, thanks & trust me, we are on the same side plus I do appreciate the input of the likes of Zengas, Spangles et al :-) | tyler90
28/1/2018 20:21 | OK good luck. | soulsauce
28/1/2018 19:56 | Soulsauce, this is not an AIM stock which is littered with far more 'jam tomorrow' companies and the fact it is on the main market is one of the reasons I invested in here. However, I am not a novice and I have shared my doubts about Optiva in the past. I think they need a more proactive broker. I think there are still concerns around how they plan it fund any deals; there is no clear strategy. As for Steve, he has a good track record but in investment, past performance is never a guide to future performance.I will continue to challenge management until my investment shows a positive return. | tyler90
28/1/2018 12:22 | tyler if you look at Aim it is also littered with stocks that do nothing for many months, sometimes years without increasing and the one day they set off and before you know it they have two or three bagged within days. Then you still like it but you daren't buy in because it has gone up so fast you think it will come back again so you wait and in the next few days it bags again. What I am trying to say is if you like the story and more importantly the mgt, of which there is a lot of sharks on Aim, then it is worth waiting it out instead of chasing around trying to find the next winner. It has been my experience that by doing that I have missed some of the big rises through being bored out of stocks. Look at this board, and look at some of the names. There are none of the idiot rampers on here, YET, and you have got great posters like Spangle, Zengas and caters who know their stuff. What Spangle and Zengas don't know about O&G related stuff isn't worth knowing. But at the end of the day it is your choice and good luck with that. | soulsauce
28/1/2018 11:18 | Caters, held this since middle of 2016; I don't think you can call me impatient. | tyler90 |
