05/1/2018 09:35 | Yes yogaboy. I can understand the furore against fracking but a producing conventional well like this one when there has already been so many in Lincolnshire is ridiculous IMO and does not bode well for other companies wanting to drill onshore which means the govt need to get a grip of it. But I think we need to move on as it is more of a distraction than it is worth. | soulsauce
05/1/2018 09:27 | It's a right pain eh soulsauce? On the other hand, sufficient doubt appears to have been priced in already, so only minimal hit to the share price As you say, time to focus all management's attention elsewhere. | yogaboy
05/1/2018 09:23 | Wressle planning permission turned down for the third time, NIMBYism alive and well in Lincolnshire, ludicrous. Should be kicked in to the long grass now to concentrate on Wick and, hopefully, other projects in Indonesia and Nth Africa. | soulsauce
24/12/2017 15:11 | It all hinges on how they finance their 40% interest. . A huge undertaking in relation to the current MC. | divmad
24/12/2017 14:36 | Merry Christmas to all UPL holders, here's to a prosperous New Year for us all! | sull75
15/12/2017 01:43 | Guys, checkout RBD - Whitman-Howard research note. Attributes a value to their indirect 9% in Wick.Cash | cashandcard

12/12/2017 15:42 | Yes nice to see. Just waiting to see how they are going to fund Wick and then in for a whole lot more. | soulsauce
12/12/2017 14:15 | Hmm, a little bit of a rally? | billyboychrisd
05/12/2017 13:58 | Cheers sull. With that potential I see a Sp prior to drilling of 5 to 10p depending on dilution. | soulsauce
05/12/2017 13:51 | hxxp://www.malcysblo Upland Resources I wanted to catch up with Steve Staley, CEO of Upland Resources following their recent announcement of a farm-in with Corallian Energy for a 40% WI in UK block 11/24b which contains the exciting Wick Prospect and managed to get some time with him this morning. Apart from some UK onshore with Ineos I hadnt really done much work on Upland but SS has a fantastic record in the industry so should be watched very carefully. Upland have done a lot of prep work on this licence and plan to drill the prospect in late 2018 but with an estimated in-place P50 resources of around 250m bbls it may well be worth the wait. The key risk that has been identified I understand is the fault closure but apparently if the faults seal then this is a very big structure indeed, in fact his words were it sticks out like a sore thumb. | sull75
04/12/2017 12:50 | Nice to see some volume today (over a number of trades), bodes well for a gradual push on the share price towards further news. | billyboychrisd

01/12/2017 16:41 | Noticed recently some other SIM vo's placed & price held up well & above placing price, so depending on the deal they are in it's not too bad especially if the BoD's participate Look at VRS & Lion things will move in 2018, Wick is a good licence, recall RBD may have an interest in this via Carillion | euclid5
01/12/2017 07:53 | If there is a placing and the insiders take their ful share of it, that's good enough for me. | divmad
01/12/2017 06:51 | We all knew that any new ventures would need to be funded somehow, if it is a placing then so be it but UPL will make sure that it's for the good of the company. This can't come as a surprise to anyone. Let's see how things progress but everything is looking good for the new year. The news yesterday was just the starter course of phase 2. If you haven't listened to the podcast and your a shareholder or thinking of becoming one then I recommend you do. Listen to Steve when he mentions the overseas opportunities, it comes across as if he already has news but just can't divulge anything just yet. Exciting times indeed are ahead. | sull75
01/12/2017 00:10 | Plus they have only £2m in cash if Wressle appeal is lost, so are they going to borrow to invest in Wick? or a placement? Personally, I think they will go for a placement and the BoD and their associates will end up taking up most of the new shares. Hence dilution of existing shares which is not always good for the share price. See you all in 2018! | tyler90
30/11/2017 23:56 | I think any share price transformational deals will be announced next year which is why those hoping to see them this year have been selling lately. This is off the radar of the traders for now and I do not expect any serious share price gain until next year and certainly not before the Wressle appeal decision. I will place them in the bottom drawer for now.Good Luck LTH and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year! | tyler90
30/11/2017 21:05 | If they don't farm into Wressle then they still have approx a cash balance, as at 30 June 2017 of £2.2m | euclid5
30/11/2017 20:43 | bbc. This share is not on the AIM market. | kirkuk
30/11/2017 20:21 | Today's share price action feels like people have lost interest in UPL as aim is mostly made up of people looking for a quick buck (at least that's the majority of active posters on other threads).Unfortunate | billyboychrisd
30/11/2017 19:04 | We're in good hands with SS. | soulsauce |
