14/6/2018 08:47 | ...don't be under any illusion as to how good a signal yesterday's placing was...at a reasonable price ( even though the conspiracy theorists may say that was aided by a covert P&D over the last few weeks ) and oversubscribed...the investor's saw something that excited their greed !...they are here for ONE reason alone...to make as much money as possible !...everyone loves a multi-bagger ! | doughty
14/6/2018 08:34 | Stark...they are not in control of geopolitical issues...but they appear to have done their homework on Sarawak, have been beavering away in the background for some time and appear very confident about the outcome of their endeavours...you have to say that having Sakaria and Bolhassan on the board speaks volumes...I feel that Sarawak has been thought through very carefully and the inevitable Petronas toys out of the pram moment is factored in. The fact that Sakaria and Bolhassan are indeed board members leads me to think that Sarawak is going to be a key plank in the company's strategy going forward...over many ( hopefully productive ) years. This company really is at the embryonic stage...and I was buoyed by the company saying yesterday that we are entering into a "very busy period". The only way is up ! 13/6/2018 22:25 | RE: SARAVAK I was going through the Uplands website and could not help myself in pasting the text that stood out for me regarding Saravak (Govt, politics..etc) Have a read again to anyone doubting the UPL team Our management team has long, hands-on experience of negotiating deals with governments, joint venture partners, contractors and buyers of produced oil and gas. We are also well-versed in assessing the commercial viability – and risks – of potential projects and in running them after acquisition. Technical Upland believes that the foundations of a strong upstream company must be good hydrocarbon assets in the ground. The Upland management team, together with the world-class specialists they have worked with over many years, have an enviable record of success in identifying, exploring, appraising and developing a wide range of oil and gas prospects, around the world. Commercial Our management team has long, hands-on experience of negotiating deals with governments, joint venture partners, contractors and buyers of produced oil and gas. We are also well-versed in assessing the commercial viability – and risks – of potential projects and in running them after acquisition. Financial Upland benefits from the strong finance background of its management team. They bring expertise in raising finance for resource companies at all stages of their development from start-up to field development. Crucially, Upland has access to the funds to enable it to implement its strategy in an effective and timely manner SARAVAK should not be a problem at all looking real good and lots to be excited about :) | stark industries
13/6/2018 16:07 | Anyone found the prospectus yet? Can't see it on their website or morningstar | spangle93
13/6/2018 09:53 | Agreed Scotty, unlike one or two companies that come to mind, UPL's placing are not going to fund the directors' lifestyles | yogaboy
13/6/2018 09:44 | I have to say I already thought they were funded via the CLN but as noted by most on here the new funds will clearly not go to waste. The price is back over 3p so all smiles again on my part. | scotty666
13/6/2018 09:30 | Fully funded now and plenty to come should make a nice sustained move up now i think | maverick247

13/6/2018 08:50 | Looking forward to the Wick CPR finally breaking cover. How much of that 250 MMB oil in place is going to be marked down as recoverable? We've had mid case recoverable estimates ranging between 23.5 and 70.0 MMB so far, so it will be interesting to see. CPR should stick a rocket up BOIL also. Exciting times all round. 13/6/2018 08:09 | I always thought Tune group were a likely option to provide , if req’d, additional funds for Sarawak. Today, notably, the CEO etc AGAIN tucked in, hence I think it likely North Africa is about to land. It’s about to hot up :) | argyle underclap |
