Billyboychrisd, what is your understanding of 'significantly above where it is now..'?It is not a case of needing the money but the funds can be used to take advantage of better opportunities elsewhere in the market (especially in the forthcoming period between December and May).

I guess it depends on what the news is... I think your targets are ambitious for the year but you never know, shares occasionally go on a run that doesn't stop until it hits the glass ceiling and drops suddenly.I've got faith here that the next bit of news will push this share significantly above where it is now, so unless the money is needed, why sell? All the best.

Letting it drop to around 1.22 (may go lower) and then seeing an increase of 30% is just going to take it to 1.60ish.Also depends at what level people have bought at...personally, I followed the Directors at 1.30 but need a better return than 1.60. My initial target was a spike to 9-10p and settling at around 5/6p by year end but I may have to revise my targets.

I don't really share my holding value but it's around 15% of my portfolio and my largest holding. I'd like to get it down to 10% on the next rise.

That's how much faith I have in this.

I'm not sure UPL has a 'buy on rumour' brigade just yet, and it seems to have never built on on good news coming.

However the hefty buys from directors and family in the Spring give me great confidence that news will come and be significant for all shareholders involved.

No doubt it will come out of the blue somewhat but patience is difficult, especially when the temptation to switch into faster moving shares comes about.

I'm going to sell a chunk of these when the news arrives as I'm too heavily invested but I like Mr Staley, the vision for the company and where I believe we are heading.

Sull75, that is what is bugging me. If this was such a 'good deal' it would be a lot higher in anticipation of expected good news, which as you say is due soon. A deal in Malaysia or Morocco will be a game changer so where are the 'buy on rumour' brigade or are there no news leaks, which does not sound so plausible in this day and age of social media.

Unfortunately the share price will continue to decline until news is released, it's frustrating to say the least but that is the way it is. It's now been over 5 months since Steve's podcast stating to expect assets news within 3-6 months, surely it can't be too far away now but until then all we can do is wait and top up if you have available funds.

Offer is now below the placing price when Directors loaded themselves. They are either very patient or they have deluded themselves about the potential for this company. Which one is the question?

Reading between the lines, looks like they are about to pull out of the Wressle project (good move IMHO) but the timing of the announcement will be synchronised with a more substantial announcement (re-Malaysia etc.)...again AIMHO

Sull75 - yes, apologies it's not AIM. This one is definitely not a scam, but it still remains to be seen what deal(s) they're gonna come up with. My main concern is timing, I hate having long positions in the mkt around Sep/Oct time - old habits die hard.

A poster said several weeks ago that this is one of those companies that you will wake up to one morning and it will be massively up. I tend to agree with that sentiment.
Some news will drop that could mean a step change for this company.

I know you weren't:) The fact we got a response at that hour possibly indicates that he (and his pa if he has one) are overseas and maybe, just maybe, finalising a game changing deal for this company. Steve has a good reputation so I very much doubt this is a scam. Famous last words. Anyway good luck to you all.
