30/12/2022 09:17 | Breakout here. Affordable products, freight costs down, China opening up, good hedging FX strategy. Unlikely to increase product prices imo. Should do well during the cost of living crisis. Won't be surprised if a few tipsters get onboard here. Have added here recently. Dyor | ![]() aishah

16/12/2022 16:05 | Any past concerns regarding cost of shipping their stock from China seem to have gone. Jefferies: Container Sector - “Freight rates have fallen to cash operating costs ..... indicating prevailing spot rates have overshot to the downside.” As suggested, after the 2020-2021 boom, now the bust. With a huge newbuild order-book and hundreds of ships under construction, the container sector is going to be in for a very tough 2-3 years. I can now send a 40ft container loaded with goods 12,000 miles by sea from Rotterdam or Felixstowe to China for US$367($3 cents a mile)....that is not a typo. That same loaded container would cost $1,200 to transport 600 miles from London by road/ferry to Hamburg. ($2/mile) To say the EU is a high cost protectionist racket is an understatement. | ![]() ramellous
