Yes, a very good result all things considered. They have had the benefits of Salter, but have faced more challenging comparisons on the rest of the business. FY23 started in line. A great company this one - FY23 will probably be a flatter year, but that is in the forecasts. Long-term growth still evident and very cheap on a P/E of 9 and dividend yield of nearly 6%. A core holding for me.

Results are a direct hit on the last ED note, PE 8.7 which seems low to me. Think most were expecting things to have gone downhill this year with the various global headwinds. It’s a key holding for me, hoping for a positive reaction today but markets are unpredictable.

Good business. Looks like a 4mil miss vs the top line according to Stocko. Who knows what the next 2 years will hold for UPGS. Watching from the sidelines for the moment.

Down 9.2% to 128p today. Perhaps it should be called up and down group.

A very good update in the circumstances. A quality company. Significantly undervalued.

"we are seeing a continuing trend towards consumers buying products that are less energy intensive, such as air fryers as opposed to oil fryers, and mechanical scales rather than battery powered ones."

The online was put on the back burner to push stocks to the supermarkets. I’d expect this to right itself being as their stock position is now strong.

Looks like a decent statement and outlook this morning. Am sure the market will focus on the negatives, perhaps the drop in online. I may buy more, will see how it opens.

Ultimate Products interim FY2022 results show a company that is creating shareholder value through its core activities. Sustainable sales growth, higher margins, positive cash flow and a 50% dividend pay-out should combine to generate earnings accretion and multiple expansion. UPGS is a brand-driven, international business, which is reinvesting in its operating practices. In our view, the share price does not reflect this and clearly lags our revised 250p fair value.

At 250p, UPGS would trade on an EV/sales ratio of 1.6x and 13.4x EV/EBITDA. Both multiples look appropriate for a branded consumer goods company with visible organic growth and a clear competence in acquiring and accelerating brands.

So a nice increase yesterday, the daily volume chart shows an initial fall followed by two increases with based on buying volume, falling back in the late afternoon. But no news that I have managed to find. Any ideas?

It's people selling SUP and buying UPGS! I partly jest, but it really wouldn't surprise me.
