19/2/2015 12:37 | Still checking in occasionally but things are dragging on a lot longer than I expected so I too am refraining from much comment. | webster32
19/2/2015 11:19 | Hi jwoolley! Nice to hear from you and well done on your top slicing! | ![]() bernieboy
19/2/2015 10:54 | Still here and still holding but only have 2 million now. If you remember, I hold mine from 0.25 some time back now. I haven't added any along the way but did get rid of a few some time back to reinvest into something else. No point in commenting much as not a lot happening, but when it does, I still see the price being in the region of 2p when arbitration done, but possibly a buy out altogether. Either way, with the constant support of our chairman, I am more than confident with the outcome being way above the current share price. Good luck all other holders. | ![]() jwoolley

17/2/2015 20:13 | Noirua - you might be right that some of them have sold up and moved on. I know some {like me} got a bit worried by the thought of holding shares in leader smart as an unquoted company. Share price is holding up nicely inspite of that recently though - so I guess not everyone is so easily spooked. Let's see if any of them post to let us know if they are still in. Thanks for the links - really interesting! | ![]() bernieboy
17/2/2015 16:13 | Haven't heard anything from Bill lately either. Are you still holding Bill? I seem to remember you reducing from about 6 million to 3.5m sometime back. Is that the case? What about someyouwin, porkpies, jwoolley, and all the others? Still here? Regards Bernie | ![]() bernieboy
17/2/2015 16:10 | I see Mr and Mrs Wells have been adding at this level. All adds to the very small free float available. Anyone know who they are? They now have over 4%. Are they just PIs like the rest of us? | ![]() bernieboy
16/2/2015 17:09 | Hope you are right Noirua! Nice to see us ticking up albeit slowly.... | ![]() bernieboy
16/2/2015 14:24 | 20/03/2008 - An article in the Telegraph reports: UniVision Engineering was unchanged at 1.50p on word it is thought to have received a GBP19m bid approach from an unnamed US suitor. The takeover proposal is thought to be in the region of 5p a share. Quite a long time ago now, 7 years, since the last takeover rumour and Univision stand at just 0.9p for a market cap of £3.45m. These days, plans are to hive off the Leader Smart division to shareholders; valued by the company at £12.5m and near to £13.5m at present exchange rates. A company revaluation of the Zhongshan mall was £30m in 2013, UVEL hold 51%. Hua Xin are at present in Arbitration over the other 49% of the mall and a decision is awaited; they intend to buy the 51% once the decision is announced. Hua Xin may wish to bid for Leader Smart as this may well cost less than an outright buy of the mall itself or may consider a bid for Univision UVEL - this subject to a major shareholder approval or perhaps a majority holding might suffice. It is well over a year since I last mentioned a bid situation but I now believe we are closer than ever to this happening. Mr Stephen Koo is an outstanding Chairman of UVEL and he may well have a much bigger future beckoning. | ![]() noirua
16/2/2015 13:15 | Increased holding in Univision to 5.22m shares - target 6m shares. | ![]() noirua
09/2/2015 11:30 | In the last announcement the value of Leader Smart Engineering was given as £12.5m and has since increased to £13.7m. This figure does not take into account the revaluation in March 2014 of the Zhongshan Mall at £30m. | ![]() noirua

08/2/2015 23:52 | The stronger position of both the Yuan and HK$ is a big improvement factor for Univision trading going forward. This has already improved the value of the Zhongshan mall. | ![]() noirua

07/2/2015 12:21 | EezyMunny - 25 Sep 2014 - 09:48:30 - 1354 of 3438 molatov I explained a while back how, if this is a scam, the payment of a special divi is very clever. Costs the Chinese very little as so few shares in UK hands but potentially enables them to unload a huge number of worthless shares on the UK penny punters, who think all is great. I really have no idea if this is genuine or not but as I've said the ONLY thing worth discussing for the time being is whether this is a con. P/E ratios, cash balances, divis etc are all irrelevant IMO. The strongest argument IMO for this being genuine is the Alexa stats but I see all sorts of articles about bots manipulating these. Hope things pan out for the bulls here, and they probably will if this not a con, but holding these Chinese AIM shares incredibly brave IMO | ![]() the stigologist
07/2/2015 12:20 | StewJames 26 Jan'13 - 17:56 - 4176 of 4177 0 0 Joe, with the Chinese companies, there's the additional problem that the entire system within which they operate is hopelessly corrupt, and (from comments I've read by those with more than passing familiarity) that the business culture in China accepts as routine actions that would be considered deeply unethical here. No shortage of dubious British AIM companies, I agree, but the problem is not so bad that you should just flat out avoid all of them. And yes, it is the UK regulators fault. | ![]() the stigologist
07/2/2015 12:20 | hxxp://www.moneyweek Why I don’t buy Chinese stocks on AIM By Tom Bulford Sep 18, 2012 Greg Rudd, the brother of the former Australian prime minister, once met a Chinese businessman who gave him some prudent advice. "You tend to see the good in people, Mr Rudd", he started. "People like you. You laugh a lot. But you’ll never make money in China with that attitude. You’ll only be taken advantage of. People will trade off you. They won’t pay you. The number one rule of doing business in China is this; never trust a Chinaman. Why would you as a foreigner trust a Chinese businessman when we as Chinese don’t trust each other?" Now that advice is pretty close to the bone. But I’ve said it before in Penny Sleuth – you have to be very careful when you invest in a Chinese company. The record of AIM-listed Chinese companies is simply awful. And with so many still coming to market, there is a real chance that many private investors will end up making some very expensive mistakes… | ![]() the stigologist
