10/9/2003 14:10 | think these shares will hit a downward trend for a while. the results were not as good as expected, however would like to buy back in at mid 20s if possible so will keep watching. | jwe
06/9/2003 00:47 | I think that you may have jumped a little early on this one guys. - First Remit is about to move from loss to profit - they seem to be very certain of this. - Master change is also beginning to turn around (albeit from a ver low base - I can't see it deteriorating from where it is now) - H-Tec continues to go in the right direction & has new products to help with growth Not much jam today admittedly, but plenty of reasons for thinking that there will be some soon. | primrose 100
06/9/2003 00:32 | Seems strange that this has ticked up if the results were that bad. Really if the turnover is up all that needs to happen is cost control, maybe the new FD can keep it under control. | shaggy666
05/9/2003 08:59 | Agree jwe..I sold mine too.Brokers are forecasting 3.4p eps for the full year which I cant see them meeting after the poor results so far.So expect a profits warning down the road | ![]() nurdin
05/9/2003 08:25 | a very poor set of interims in my opion especially when a trading statement was made after the first quarter stating that profits were "signifantly ahead" of last year.in fact profit for the first half is less than last year and the dividend hasbeen reduced.i sold my 26000 at32p first thing but would be interrested in any other comments | jwe
21/8/2003 14:07 | Anybody got any idea why that has had a big fall today ? I can't see anything. | primrose 100

29/7/2003 14:55 | right - will have a look .... I like these small caps - if they make money | ![]() naught
29/7/2003 14:53 | Naught,if the broker estimates turn out to be correct i believe fair value for this stock is around twice the current price assuming there is no increase in dividend.I see you are also into cre luckily i bought into these yesterday you may also want to look at gbg agm tomorrow | jwe
29/7/2003 07:50 | this is the article from the MoS We would also hold Universe Group, which we were attracted to in March because it offered income, growth and recovery in one package. The group, listed on the Alternative Investment Market, operates loyalty programmes and provides electronic payment systems for petrol retailers. It also has a bureau de change business, which has been hit by low tourist levels, and a money transfer arm with potentially strong growth. When we suggested buying the shares at 21p, they offered a historic yield of 9.3%. While that has now come down with the shares closing last week at 34p, it remains a very attractive 5.7%. Universe's broker, Charles Stanley, forecasts earnings per share* of 5.4p this year, leaving the shares trading on a multiple of 6.2, which again remains attractive. At its annual meeting May, the group said markets were tough but first-quarter trading profits had increased on last year by a significant margin. With a market value of just £13.2 million, universe remains speculative but worth holding. | ![]() naught
28/7/2003 00:38 | They seem to have it right ..... the CEO holds nearly 13% - many bought at much higher prices. This not only means he thinks they have a good future but also ensures divs will continue at a high rate imho | ![]() naught
28/7/2003 00:08 | Further comment in the mail today, rates as"remains speculative but worth holding".However with a yield of 5.7% and a prospective pe of 6.2 (based on broker estimites) this still looks very cheap to me and i will continue to hold. | jwe
17/7/2003 08:33 | now 5th in the all share risers list intraday :-)) AFX-Focus) 2003-07-17 07:48 GMT: Universe Group announces further country openings at First Remit LONDON (AFX) - Universe Group PLC said First Remit, the international money transfer division, has opened in a further nine countries. 17/7/2003 07:58 | First Remit expansion announcement seems to be having a good pre-market effect on the share price | ![]() naught
03/7/2003 16:03 | Yes .... the important thing is - he will want to keep the dividends going and increasing imho | ken barlow
03/7/2003 15:45 | He's bought them all for a fair price as well. | vegrqbvgt4e
03/7/2003 14:52 | will try and remember to look it up ..... I think it's a safe investment that pays divs. The ceo holds lots and continues to buy | ken barlow
03/7/2003 14:50 | I'd strongly recommend that anyone interested in this share has a good look at Skegbyhouse's very informative post on Motley Fool. | vegrqbvgt4e
03/7/2003 14:34 | I have held these for a long time ( showing paper loss of course) but now am tempted to buy a big wadge. Why? Forecast earnings growth of 25% + year on year and a PE of under 7 is one reason.HTEC is flush with orders after a bad year last year and their First Remit venture seems to be expanding fast..and thats the second. The only fly in the ointment is the Masterchange bureaux division which is suffering for a variety of reasons. But I dont know what proportion of T/O and profits this division represents..company dont give a breakdown.Does anyone know?? cheers | ![]() nurdin
03/7/2003 14:18 | I hold a few of these and just received the share certificate for the script issue K | ken barlow
02/7/2003 10:15 | Well done 'faz' getting out of RTD at 350p....I wasnt happy at the time to sell at 150p on the way down. Is now the time to get back into RTD???? Certainly UNG look ok to my inexperienced eye. | a2336418 |
