I wonder of the new Chief Financial Officer and Non-Executive Director are picking up a few shares. The volume seems to be higher than usual.

Interesting to note a recent RNS announcement refers to 'over 20 billion'transactions a year.It is not that long ago the company was quoting 'over 15 billion'.

From 12.84% to 17.06% is a fairly big chunk as well.

Gresham were steadily building a holding here in 2018-19 but have held off for the past 20 months until now. With a new CEO, renewed interest by Gresham and director buying it looks like things might be about to take a turn for the better.

The announcement highlighted the low share price.Still looks cheap at these levels IMHO and director buying at 5p+ supports the view.As always DYOR

Well, there's been a bit of positive action today. It would appear that the news about the new CEO has been well received.

I only pop in very occasionally as I used to own and recognise everything you say. I pop in to see if they have finally delivered something. One look at the chart is all I need, but I saw there had been some posts since the last time I looked and was intrigued to see what the mood was these days - it was never a busy BB.

I used to go to AGMs as they are just down the road from me. However I sold out when I had a bust up with the Chairman over an RNS he put out that I felt was not transparent (acquisition of Speedy Norcon if memory serves), he made a veiled threat of legal action which was totally unjustified. I just sold at that point because I have no time for people like that. I have never regretted that decision.

Th - I've been here since Universe paid their last dividend, then all the way through the Jetwash debacle which lost them c£1.5mln.

Over the years Universe has continually promised much but sadly delivered very little. Often saying there's new big contracts just round the corner, then nothing.

It seems to be Universe has just been treading water over the past 10 years, going nowhere.

I'm happy to say I topped up at 3.42, having read the results a much bigger buy would have been in order. As you said boadicea, wish I had got on the case at 0700.

Very reassuring results. I would have topped up if I had been properly alert at 8am but will not chase price in current markets. I have a reasonable holding anyway - in fact a bit more 'reasonable' this morning!

I don't agree loganair, when a share spikes like this one they are left short of stock having sold what they haven't got. They follow up with a tree shake, a massive drop of the bid price which lowers the mid price but leaves the offer price as was. Now they are getting the stock they need at a low price to balance the book.

A very high spread usually means that the MMs are not wanting to buy the stock in question and to hold any spare stock on their books as they fear the price of the stock is more likely to be going down rather then up.

Universe are well placed to be relatively unaffected in these crazy times. 5p would be a good price now, with a bounce when the markets recover IMHO.
