Phil , filled at 817 but only a tenth of that buy ; I have rather a lot already.
Rather a strange drop today , hope no substance to it , but you have to stick your neck out sometimes....

Put another limit buy for 817p . Regulator uncertainties are still hanging over UU but suspect they will eventually be resolved with a politically acceptable fudge.

There is a big difference between the company and the regulator at present, and they don't seem to be moving forward to a resolution.

The Interim Divi will be announced in November before the OFWAT deal for the next five years is finalised in December???

Five years of compromised divis will make me tearfully water my beer.

Another couple of pence will see me pick up my trading stake at 861. (It did later ; 860.4 lowest buy of the day ) Become a bit volatile recently. For a Utility.

No more £9 top-slicing for now it seems. Not sure what to make of Ofwat. They are self-congratulating on their announcements but not sure that means much other than Face.

OFWAT has issued a statement about Dee Valley today. Perhaps BBC thinks Dee Valley is the whole water industry?

Thanks for the comment.
I came in around 665p.
I do agree on your comment about the UT interpretation.
My concern is that the Regulator may play a tough hand.
Fundamentals are a current PE of 17.10 and a yield of 3.97% based
on a share price of 908/909p, which may prove to be toppy.
Perhaps the bias has shifted to a greater downside than upside at
present.
I was just mulling over the idea of preserving some of my gains, by
top slicing a few, and repurchasing on any weakness down the
track.

Hi redartbmund - I think that the last "UT" trade of the day can be
difficult to interpret for any share. I expect UU to follow the
FTSE to-morrow, whether it be up or down. I came in at £6.50
and am not, by nature, a trader and am happy with the twice-yearly
dividend and the capital growth.

Sold out today been in since 665 nice profit ,will watch and may be
back again if low 800 are reached again.
