23/9/2014 18:16 | Yep, on large quality stocks with yield, I agree. Good trade given where you last sold. | philo124
23/9/2014 18:13 | Phil , filled at 817 but only a tenth of that buy ; I have rather a lot already. Rather a strange drop today , hope no substance to it , but you have to stick your neck out sometimes.... | wad collector
23/9/2014 18:09 | Is c750p possible in a bad market? | philo124
23/9/2014 18:02 | You get filled Wad? That 19865 @ 814p? Back from Malaga, have been raising cash so will think about UU. | philo124
23/9/2014 17:41 | Not a clue freddie, but I sure wish I'd taken 900 when it was available. What a decent trade that would have been. Twenty20 hindsight yet again. | lord gnome
23/9/2014 17:39 | Has this share got a Tescos problem? Big fall today, though a bad day all round. | freddie ferret
23/9/2014 11:49 | Put another limit buy for 817p . Regulator uncertainties are still hanging over UU but suspect they will eventually be resolved with a politically acceptable fudge. | wad collector
15/9/2014 21:30 | jarbie There is a big difference between the company and the regulator at present, and they don't seem to be moving forward to a resolution. red | redartbmud
15/9/2014 18:33 | I am surprised at the current share price trend this is a defensive share with a good yield in a nervous market looking for security | jarbie
02/9/2014 19:20 | The Interim Divi will be announced in November before the OFWAT deal for the next five years is finalised in December??? Five years of compromised divis will make me tearfully water my beer. z | zeppo
02/9/2014 13:26 | Crying into my beer - missed the boat on the sale. Lucky for some and unlucky for others. | redartbmud
02/9/2014 12:43 | Another couple of pence will see me pick up my trading stake at 861. (It did later ; 860.4 lowest buy of the day ) Become a bit volatile recently. For a Utility. | wad collector
29/8/2014 12:14 | redarbmud no problem and market obviously think it is worse than expected although UU seems to be worst performer in water companies . | arja
29/8/2014 09:50 | wad Yes, I missed the boat. Message to red - Be more vigilant in future. Linhur Thanks for the clarification.# Message to red - Do not believe BBC in future! red | redartbmud
29/8/2014 09:47 | No more £9 top-slicing for now it seems. Not sure what to make of Ofwat. They are self-congratulating on their announcements but not sure that means much other than Face. | wad collector
29/8/2014 08:19 | OFWAT has issued a statement about Dee Valley today. Perhaps BBC thinks Dee Valley is the whole water industry? Arja Sincere apology for the confusion. That statement has had a negative effect on the Uu share price red | redartbmud
29/8/2014 08:01 | PS That was BBC Breakfast. Just been looking on OFWAT web site. It is awful, but in one part I found a comment that prices will be determined in December 2014. I think that I have joined confused.com | redartbmud
29/8/2014 07:50 | It's out, but I have not seen it yet. I understand from TV that customer bills will fall over the next 5 year cycle, but don't quote me yet. | redartbmud
29/8/2014 07:46 | is it today that the regulator report comes out ? | arja
27/8/2014 08:18 | Hi Benchmark Thanks for the update. I am still hanging on at present. They opened lower, and as you say we can collect the dividend twice a year. If it tops £9 again I may well top slice. red | redartbmud
27/8/2014 08:11 | Hi redartbmund - looks as if you read that very accurately. I wish I had the same predictive power! (*Edit note: I have just noted that UU have been rerated from "ouperform" to "sector perform" by RBC Capital Markets. Not sure if this has had a bearing/) | benchmark
26/8/2014 20:24 | Hi Bench Thanks for the comment. I came in around 665p. I do agree on your comment about the UT interpretation. My concern is that the Regulator may play a tough hand. Fundamentals are a current PE of 17.10 and a yield of 3.97% based on a share price of 908/909p, which may prove to be toppy. Perhaps the bias has shifted to a greater downside than upside at present. I was just mulling over the idea of preserving some of my gains, by top slicing a few, and repurchasing on any weakness down the track. red | redartbmud
26/8/2014 19:34 | Hi redartbmund - I think that the last "UT" trade of the day can be difficult to interpret for any share. I expect UU to follow the FTSE to-morrow, whether it be up or down. I came in at £6.50 and am not, by nature, a trader and am happy with the twice-yearly dividend and the capital growth. | benchmark
26/8/2014 18:11 | Sold out today been in since 665 nice profit ,will watch and may be back again if low 800 are reached again. | silver tortoise |
