Vague talk of a bid - classic.
Is it an attempt to stabilise the share price before the announcement of the compensation package for customers, or have they put their clients into the stock before pumping it?

I see the ADVFN 'fundamentals' page is showing this as having no yield and fails to report the recently paid divi.

I think that I saw a snippet yesterday on Sky about UU having issues with bacteria? No impact on the share price I see.

Sharp drop in the last 2 hrs for no obvious reason ; filled my buy limit but I might have some more later if it keeps falling. I see some recent brokers unimpressed by the 4% yield and the dividend policy , but I wonder where they think will do better without more risk?

In many ways it's a boring share wad. Not exactly an exciting sector, and out of the news (unlike SERCO etc). Happy to take the divi in future with my price of 892.438
Might have a few more if they dip again. Early days but it does look like I may have picked bottom,,,,, why oh why do I ever say that because you know what will happen now!

If you are happy to sit long on these , it is hard to imagine you will not be reasonably well rewarded in time.
I think part of the reason this BB is so quiet is that most people just hold them , few traders here I suspect.

Well timed , as you were a pound up briefly by St Georges Day. It is curious that Labour have concentrated on electricity and gas companies in their manifesto and not made any water bill statements . Have they missed a trick or realised that it is a bad idea?

Another buyback @ 890 ; I have now bought back most of my holding at a 6% discount on Dec /Jan sells . Maybe it wasn't worth the hassle , but I am glad I did not just watch them go up and then watch them drop again ..

Nice bounce off 900 today, right on support, but is that the end of the weakness? Somehow I doubt it.

I think you are right and in any case the idea that anyone could affect the share price of UU on a BB is laughable . Institutional trading dominates.
I shall watch the share price closely this am , there is likely to be more volatility in the next 2 months and I hope to trade on that.

Good grief. This has now dropped back to where I sold out on the way up. Can't see it going below 900 (chart support Pierre, bullish or bearish) but if it does I will be tempted to buy back in. I can see further weakness on two fronts, one being the political situation ahead of the general election, and the second being market related in that these stocks are usually seen as safe havens and if the FTSE does break out above 7000 and start to motor UU. will get left behind as the market goes into 'risk on' mode. (Before anyone asks, no, I am not talking my book or trying to talk down the price.)
