Parob - they had a fantastic result in the south of the block with Ash-2 which was drilled down to the deeper "AEB" horizon. That is deeper, or rather below existing producing horizons elsewhere on the block and presumably proved up either local source, or migration to the south of the block in decent quantities? Just need to get back to drilling wells again to exploit what could be useful potential upside in deeper horizons.

Parob - though of course, they've stopped drilling to preserve capex

xxnjr - they are only producing from one of the intersected zones, which is at virgin pressure.

"The Well was targeting previously undrained reservoirs of the El Salmiyah Field, with the primary focus being the Kharita Formation, and secondary objectives in the Abu Roash C and Abu Roash E.... Net pay was encountered in all of the targeted intervals"

The other reservoirs are producers elsewhere on the licence.

Cenkos state 'Only The Beginning' and we have this from the last RNS:"we are looking forward to further activity and newsflow from the asset."

"Moreover, it's usually run through the company for comment, so you can sometimes pick up some additional insights that can't be put into RNS's"

absolutely spangles - Cenkos's latest note contained this nugget.

....."We would expect the results [of ES-5] to confirm the significant infill potential from bypassed pay and previously un-targeted reservoirs at Abu Sennan."

That was a damn good call ;-)

xxnjr - true. I typed my details into their registration page with my little finger sticking out so that they could tell I was sophisticated ;-)

On the other hand, it's always interesting see how analysts come up with their valuations, and also a goood reference point to compare against Optiva

Moreover, it's usually run through the company for comment, so you can sometimes pick up some additional insights that can't be put into RNS's, e.g. if an analyst speculates "let's assume the company will farm out 25% of this" it's a pretty good insight into what the company is thinking, rather than just a number plucked from the air

Kevd we ought to see the backdated revenues in the interims as the deal concluded in Feb. I think someone worked out on LSE there may have been a profit of about $1m for that period for RKH after OPEX.

Cenkos notes are generally paid for research but as a "sophisticated investor" valuations should be taken with a pinch of salt!

Would I be correct in thinking as the seen no revenues from the backdated rockhopper deal, next year will will have both this years revenues and the backdated 2019 Egypt revenues?

Thanks parob.
They have got 7.3p. Seems a bit low to me?? but they have a 7 pg research report on it.
You can access it by going to cenkos research hub and entering an email They got straight back to me and I got straight in by ticking the self certified sophisticated investor button.

Will make coffee and read.

So... super-positive RNS yesterday, significant and material upside to the business... but price tailed off in yesterday's trading and is in the red today.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the responses. Started with a 350K on-line buy attempt yesterday to top up existing holding, then multiple attempts at reduced order sizes all the way down to 20K but all to no avail. I know the share price was rising pretty fast at that time but surprised wasn't able to add at somewhere between say 2.35p and 2.75p. I could have added at 3.25p but by that time it was too late! I'm beginning to wonder if HL have access to less market makers than they once had. Not that I really understand this market maker/nomad stuff. Let's see what today brings :)

#UOG Editorial: UOG shares soar as Egypt delivers another significant new well"With a headline figure of c8700 boepd achieved on test from our Kharita target, it is fair to say the results have significantly exceeded our pre-drill expectations"hTTps://twitter.com/uogplc/status/1268173359960985600?s=21

Hi xxjnr

I use HL as well, but I was able to buy in twice today. I'm already a long term holder, sitting on a loss but decided to average-down today (not something I normally do, but made an exception).

Might depend on the size of your order?

Mine weren't particularly big buys... each one low 4-figures (£)

It kind of has doubled.

The well TD'd on 17/4 ..... share price was 1.52p
Post testing, Rig released on 21/5 ..... share price was 1.62p

Hit about 3.2p in this mornings excitement.

I tried adding with HL but couldn't, as they were significantly behind the curve (again!).

Not exact numbers, but just illustrative:-

when HL were quoting say 2.15 - 2.30 on-line, stock was already being bought at say 2.40 or higher.

when HL were quoting say 2.50 - 2.70 on-line, stock was already going through at 2.80 or higher.

when HL were quoting say 2.75 - 3.00 on-line, stock was already going through at 3.10 or higher.

So frozen out unless you do a "kill & fill".

Is this just an HL issue, or is it pretty general with the other on-line brokers these days when dealing in smaller AIM stocks?

Never really had these issues before but seems increasingly common these days.

Is the answer to attempt to do "kill and fills"?

Why did the market not react more favourably to news?Should have doubled at least.
