How does the chairman of Unilever manage to also chair AkzoNobel and Worldwide Flight Services? Leadership by thirds? Is that really the leadership Unilever needs?

That's because there's only one thing going to be offloaded.

As always with investments, a key element is timing.

It's made many longer term holders very rich.

From the year I started investing (early 90's), Unilever is Up over 1,000%.

That does Not include any dividend income.

If you reinvested those dividends your % return is stratospheric.

But, great companies do not necessarily remain great and a lot also depends on
the quality of a top team running a business.

Holding steady better than I thought as Wall Street down again, maybe a few Tech Refugees coming on board. Hanging on to Profits, as should go higher. I may celebrate with a nice bottle of Claret tonight.

Arrogant Unilever has blundered its way to a cliff edge

Boss Alan Jope is now on borrowed time – the question is whether he is brave enough to jump first, or waits to be pushed

Head of WHO"The world could see an end to the "acute phase" of the pandemic this year, the period in which it remains an international emergency, if countries pull together to get vaccines to those parts of the world that have not received them and bolster testing, sequencing and monitoring of new variants"Testing testing !!

I was, still am, very overweight ULVR, so reduced by 10% out of discipline to my risk management approach.Plus there are a few funds/trackers I like which are looking quite appealing at the moment.I agree a bid is reasonably likely at these levels, but not while markets are so nervy.
