06/4/2022 10:06 | Barclays cuts Unilever price target to 4,000 (4,600) pence - 'equal weight' | philanderer
04/4/2022 14:52 | In for a small top up. | tuftymatt
04/4/2022 12:02 | will be set around £38 - £40. A lot of share buybacks to come this month, would think it will test £38 at sometime.... | onehanded
04/4/2022 11:30 | Do they know what a fair price for their share(s) is(are)? Or are they just throwing money into the market and hoping it works? I saw a really well implemented buy back many years ago where an FTSE250 company (and sorry, I can't remember the name) set a buy back price of 180p. They took sellers on at that price but once it hit 185p they were out and let the sellers come back in. Eventually, of course, the sellers dumped all their stock and the price quickly rose to 240p ('ish from memory). Wonder where UL. have set their limits? | kiwi2007
04/4/2022 10:23 | Not a fan of buybacks, companies always seem to buy back at the top, reduces eps, makes directors look good. But I believe pay a bigger dividend rather than buybacks let shareholders do what they want with the money. | montyhedge
01/4/2022 12:50 | 'As for buy backs - I agree. Never seen them do good. Usually a precursor to drop in share price. But management love it because it makes the numbers look better. Dividends just make shareholders feel better.' Yep. Look around. It's everywhere. Artificially cheap money, weakening fundamentals, short termist 'incentivised' management, corporate 'group think' and 'entitlement' politics. A recipe for disaster. | fabius1
01/4/2022 12:02 | "Woke" is seen very differently across different generations. Completely different values between boomers, gen x, millennials and gen Z. You can't fight these trends. If you don't like it, avoid companies looking to attract younger consumers. As for buy backs - I agree. Never seen them do good. Usually a precursor to drop in share price. But management love it because it makes the numbers look better. Dividends just make shareholders feel better. | shieldbug
01/4/2022 07:56 | I see the share buyback program is going well for the share priceTOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND YOUR MONEY | ch1ck
31/3/2022 20:50 | Woke is going to substantially reduce profits at many businesses . | holts
31/3/2022 01:32 | Being super Woke has done more harm than good to Ulvr over the last few years. | chachacha
30/3/2022 17:00 | Grahamite - "Young business graduates" - you do realise few if any young business graduates believe that shareholders should be sole beneficiaries of publicly traded companies. Fifty year old graduates might believe that (if there are any). | shieldbug
30/3/2022 08:15 | On the Bloomberg Sentiment algo this morning positive. Better than negative .Off to golf have a good day. | montyhedge

29/3/2022 15:57 | 3800+ in a week or two then maybe. | trikytree
29/3/2022 15:39 | From 3380p to over 3550p in a few days, brilliant, but is it time to leave some profit for the next man. | montyhedge
29/3/2022 13:07 | J & J to suspend personal care products in Russia, just on Bloomberg. I would have thought that helps Uni, unless Uni follow them. | montyhedge
28/3/2022 18:10 | EU safe haven for investment is very low. Can affect the pe multiples ppl are prepare to pay. Plus instability in the region will affect growth and profit of food companies | action
28/3/2022 10:19 | Yes, but is it good value at this price? More to the point, retail buying creates selling opportunities for the 'other side' who have other agendas and I would not rule out a test of @£26 for a number of reasons. 'Tides and boats' spring to mind. A few years ago that seemed laughable in view of the seemingly impregnable defensive qualities of the company. I still think the core common sense values of the company make sense but the fickle nature of the human race can be mind numbing at the best of times. | fabius1
28/3/2022 09:40 | The list of most popular ISA stocks, Unilever was there, next week new ISA year, further rise expected especially with buybacks underpinning shareprice. | montyhedge
25/3/2022 13:11 | I don't think shareprice will be this low for long, coming months with buybacks should see a nice rise, lower eps and of course lower p.e. | montyhedge
25/3/2022 12:11 | I would suggest that what is needed is a bit of universal common sense and that is freely available to anyone with the wherewithal. Technology is all well and good but show me a society where the tangible fundamental factors of existence do not ultimately prevail. Right now we are seeing the usual routine of the cart before the horse. The world is in the grip of some rather deluded individuals. | fabius1 |
