He's right unfortunately, which is why loads of the 350 are being hoovered up at present. Although very much doubt any bid would succeed below 55.

This would be worth more listed in Amsterdam, just being listed in U.K. puts everything at a discount as its the dog index of the world thanks to brexit/covid fiasco, wheezing fat boris, austerity, trashed sterling etc etc etc, hence why bhp are splitting back to OZ, where the same shares sell for 20pc more. Anything not terrible, which doesnt leave a lot, on the ftse 350 is being hoovered up for peanuts by foreign buyers, maybe this will get taken out, ceo is cxxp and the share price never goes anywhere, anyone offering over 48 will probably get the nod from major holders to dump it. Let’s hope.

The world is going to return to basics, inflation is rising, it’s a cycle.
ULVR is a great hedge in these times and the fact it’s not highly rated right now, even better.

cardinal, fair point re recent share price performance, not sure I would label Unilever
as a value trap, for starters it sells on over 20x earnings.

FX movements over the last 2 years have contributed to some of the underperformance.

As one example, GBP v INR has gone from 86 in August 2019, to 103 today.

India is a big market for Unilever, so is Brazil and it's a similar story there.

The share price performance has been dismal over a number f years. Dividends but a value trap.

Except they are not boycotting Israel, Ben and Jerry's are no longer selling Ice cream
in the occupied territories.

CFO buys 18350 shrs, a good sign of confidence they can pass on any price increases from the main man

It’s going to be an inflationary world, we know this and what better company to invest in in inflationary times but ULVR
I have added

Market getting used to the idea of higher input costs and margin pressure? Not a company specific issue.

Large CFO buy yesterday, he sold double that amount two years ago at over £45
a share for some context.

If these are available under £39 that may be an attractive buying area,
without the large buy backs we could have seen those levels earlier this week
and may still do. Current share price does not look expensive on a longer term basis,
all imv etc.

£38.50-39 may be an attractive longer term buying area, if available.
