For those horrified by the drop in ULVR share price. Take a look at ABF - share price dropped below £16.50/share in October - well before the current lockdown. Now trading at over £25/share. How does that make any sense?

How very disappointing. ULVR lost nearly all the gains it had made in the day, in the last minute before closing, just to end 2p up. It had been 41p up at one stage. Still struggling.

Don't wish to have a pop at Terry, however Unilever has increased margins very significantly over the last decade. The recent very small margin contraction was mainly exceptional Covid-19 related costs. Over 70% of Unilever's growth is being driven by those brands seen as "sustainable". Dove, their most successful brand by a country mile, promotes many of those same 'values'. Unilever has been slow to appreciate the opportunity in pet care; also overpaying for certain acquisitions, Dollar Shave Club etc. Will the €15 billion spent acquiring smaller premium skincare brands pay off.. They look fairer areas to level criticism or question corporate strategy.

TS has also started buying Church and Dwight to replace the RB position. Its on a much higher rating, so must see better growth for CHD moving forward.

Maybe, but by all account unilever does look very cheap comparing the market and vs other names in the sector. Nick Train gave a good account of Unilever in the FGT AGM recently. Its very focused on EM which will continue to grown imo. I have started buying again here after selling my portfolio in Nov to buy a second house.

He may be considering an exit, have thought that for awhile since the RB dump.

Terry Smith in a recent interview on II stated Unilever was a worry. He said its more concerned with political correctness ie wokeness than increasing volumes and prices / product innovation

So Unilever say that calling something 'normal' indicates that anything else must be abnormal, and that is why they're ditching the word. They also say that they are aiming to use more 'natural' ingredients. Whoa! Hold on there. They can't use the word 'natural' because that would indicate that anything else must be unnatural.

Shows how behind the times Uniliever is if this is thought of as newsworthy.

Yep, it's politically incorrect to be 'normal' now. Much more acceptable to play the victim card.

Unilever will drop the word "normal" from its beauty products and ban excessive editing of models' photos in a push for inclusivity. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-56331524

and the unilever to buy Byotrol (BYOT) for it's 24 hour hard surface agent and products. So moving out of skin products, but building up cleaning products.

Terry Smith commented on ULVR in his interviews with II. I sold a load of UK Cyclicals today.... ITV Aviva TW etc and bought DGE and bought back in some ULVR so back in £8 lower than my sell :)
