and not far to plug into existing network. Gl :-)

The CLH Pipeline System (CLH-PS), formerly the Government Pipelines and Storage System (GPSS), is a United Kingdom pipeline system run by Compañ;ía Logística de Hidrocarburos (CLH). The network consists of over 2,500 kilometres (1,600 mi) of pipeline and 46 other facilities, and is interconnected with several other pipeline systems.

Post-WW2, whilst remaining a national top secret, ownership was passed to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), who delegated operation to the Oil and Pipelines Agency (OPA) on the MoD's behalf. Private-sector usage was encouraged, but limited; the OPA's task was to provide "maximum development of private sector usage of the GPSS, provided this did not impinge upon its primary purpose of supplying the required fuel for defence purposes and did not require capital investment from public funds." As a result, the pipeline was extended and developed to allow connection to: all UK-based oil refineries and major fuel processing depots; as well as all major civilian airports - including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester - during the period of the Cold War. As a result of the 2000 fuel protests, Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon instructed the MoD to plan for extension of the GPSS to beat any future fuel blockade.[3]

12bn- You need to do more research as your not up to speed here.
Don't you be gambling any money long or short.

Did you see the rns saying they had shut in to carry out a pressure build up test.

All wells deplete over time especially vertical but horizontal drilling is completely different and can allow some wells to produce for many many years.

Depends on how big the find is,the make up of the sub structures, how mature the source rock is.

Even if they only get a small amount of 124bbo it is going to put uk oil on the map.

Now after they have had fantastic flow rates from zone 1,2 on a vertical I'm prepared to stick my neck out and say that this could possibly exceed Whytch farm which in the beginning found only 600bopd

BUT it all takes time and money.
Just potential until we get more reports in but I want to be in when they land rather than missing the rise.
I would say the odds are more stacked in my favour after the last few weeks but I could be wrong..

Interesting times ahead

Lol no fracking planned, only multi-pad horizontal drilling through both Limestone strata in all directions.....200,000bopd more than likely according to Ukog's Ceo, gla longs.....the most exciting transformational risk reward opportunity for all invested......Ukog are on a one way trajectory to stardom. ;-)))

CNN

SS: "We have the potential...if we can replicate this across this basin, we could produce about a quarter of the UK's oil demand."

"$40 per barrel break-even with a small return"

"allowing for production of 200,000 bopd?

Do not expect fracking to be allowed 2 mile from Gatwick airport robbie. If the oil doesn't free flow then it will stay put. Flow rates always drop off, especially if a small choke isn't used. This is not a cert commercially imo.

KMJS- Correct.
If there is Billions bo down there the Government will want it out all costs.
Watch this space when Xodus reports and hopefully the pressure build up tests go well

UK balance of payments deficit
UK energy security
UK National debt £1.5 Trillion
SNP planning next independence attempt

If the oil is recoverable I suspect the Government will move Heaven and Earth
to get it out.

IMO the runway saga at Gatwick/Heathrow is also tied to the outcome here.

I am not saying that oil cannot be extracted at $40 but that is rather a precise figure and there can be unforeseen costs, like losing equipment down the well, damaging the well and having to re-drill it and who is to say the PoO won't go lower? This is far from being a cert commercial venture, like many here think it is.

That's 4.5m shares bought in 2 trades at 2.29 just before 9am this morning. No wonder the RSPs are desperate for sells at 2.2!

Why do you keep ignoring the profitability bar put at $40 oil?
forwood

You can have £1000bn of oil in the ground but if it cannot be extracted profitably it is worthless.

And once the hot money has gone, we'll be left with the serious investors who see the potential of UKOG's £57bn of oil going for a snip. No - wait a minute, Brent now at $41.15, so that's a 90% probability of £58.63 bn worth oil.

Don't forget, these probabilities (in the header) were calculated before the oil started flowing here, so one can expect the Nutech / Schlumberger calculations to improve the probabilities. Here at HH of course, it's 100% certain!

This is a 'hot money' share forwood and its share price direction is dictated by the day traders. Without news it will just drift lower and lower, day after day, imo

And bought another 144k at 2.29. Given PoO's rise back over 40, this is once again commercially profitable at today's prices. Surprised we're not up 10-20% like some of the other oil plays

janekane - you have swallowed the TW line which is a hate filled small minded attitude to anything associated with Lenigas. You're ignoring the facts as published and supported by the leading industry analysts on the potential here.

You can't actually short this share unless you are able to borrow from someone prepared to lend you real shares. You can spreadbet it but this is not exactly the falling knife you make out.

I have taken advantage of the days lows to buy another 200k shares and - like yesterday - I fully expect by the end of the day that this will have gone blue in expectation of news tomorrow.

Encouraging people to sell is the worst possible thing you can do as they will be losing cash on what will prove to be the best oil play around today.

SO where's DA TAIT????

Oh well, he must be getting some windows cleaned for a change.

How gutless: dashing around slagging 88e...now not man enough to show his face.

Spineless, as well as clueless.
