I'm certainly going for as many positive-sounding drill-related RNSes that the company thinks it can get away with.

RNS 08:30 the drill's reached a depth of 250 feet.

RNS 08:32 make that 254 feet

RNS 08:35 no, wait a second... it's 256 feet

RNS 08:41 the company is delighted to confirm that its Turkish workforce has enjoyed a hearty breakfast and is now well-nourished and ready to recommence drilling this potentially transformative opportunity.

RNS 08:54 you know that depth? It's now 264 feet

...and so on. Gotta prime the market for that placing.

If TW was correct that UKOG were trying to raise a while ago ; I would have expected placing shares to have been taken by now.

They did not seem to have problems with previous placing's, so what's going on?

Its obvious that UKOG will soon run out of cash; something's got to give.

Rig 28 was drilling at just over 10ft an hour with the 12" drill at BB if you want rough figures. It is a bit smaller than the one on site.

But Sanderson earned £298k last year. Probably more this year imo. Works out at about £25k a month gross. Perhaps he went over and above just to prove a point!

...except the total value of shares that the board has committed to buying - between them - is an absolute max of £2,800 worth per month. That's what the terms of the DDSPP state... and that's hardly going to change the price of cocoa.

It's such a pitiful amount that I doubt the board really cares much about whether this happens pre-placing or post-placing
