Mel,with respect. If you think swampie shorters,derampers etc have held this company back over the years you are the pathetic one here. Just take a cold hard look at the rns' ukog put out,usually followed by long silences and follow this up with indifferent,vague news,usually the same news but rehashed in different terminology to make the market actually think they are a proper,viable company. Enjoy watching the fools.

Good spot HCA. we all know that UKOG has learnt that issuing an RNS; almost without regard to the value of its content; does usually help lift the share price

I suspect AME were left in a tricky place.
They expected UKOG to pay up front but have been left with a tricky decision; risk losing the licence and/or getting black marks from the Turkish decision makers; or offer effective finance support to UKOG by digging in to their own pockets to get the drill going.

Beginning to suspect that time pressure ; that dead line; forced the issues and that, just maybe, AME a have had to offer, effectively ,a bridging loan type support.

Would UKOG be obliged to inform the market though?

Without a candid explanation of UKOG's cash position and its 'near term' working capital requirements; everyone's in the dark.

This has got rather to close to the wire..so..... maybe.

The 'near future ' paragraph UKOG released prior to the GM vote;

"In order to deliver the Company's stated strategy and growth objectives, it will require further funds in the near future for, amongst other things, its funding obligations under the agreed work programme for the Resan Licence and any of the new Licence applications should they be awarded to the Company and its partner. "

That line always suggested to me that funds would be required to actually drill as we were informed that the £2.2m previously raised was only for initial operations;

The Proceeds of the Placing will, therefore, be used primarily to support and fund UKOG's share of initial Turkish Licence operations costs, to include the purchase of long-lead drilling equipment, construction of a drilling pad and necessary preparations for seismic acquisition. ."
