06/7/2018 11:50 | rubber balling. Seems new pi entries have stabilized and mainly back ground trading noise whilst we await operational news or first flow news. If there were to be another short attack on the share, I think they would have gone for it by now with the news gap. Can't imagine why they shorting crew have suddenly evaporated. You know, it's almost as if they are aware somebody maybe watching them. Paranoia if you ask me. | whattheduce

06/7/2018 11:16 | The picture to go with the article posted above. The right hand side. The aerial. Is that not a UHF band aerial? Is it an anti-drone transmitter, designed to block drone signals? | whattheduce

06/7/2018 10:42 | Consider how large parts of America believe the Earth is only 100,000 years old. They really actually do believe this. That level of susceptibility has now evolved in the UK over the last few decades. These environmental 'zombies' can be potentially very dangerous people. | whattheduce
06/7/2018 10:40 | And as far as saving the planet business is concerned, I have flown over large parts of it. It is a big planet. A very big planet. There are massive tracts of it that we have no foot print on. And I mean vast. Fly over Siberia, Mongolia, Australia. And as for the Pacific! Our minds are bent to a world map focused on the land mass of course, we therefore tend to forget about just how big the Pacific is. An interesting fact to put into perspective just what mankind's foot print is was something like this (at 6 billion count I think). Take every man, woman and child on the planet and put them on the Isle of Wight. Every individual will have a square meter of space. Look at a world map, or even just a European map in some instances. The Isle of Wight is so small it often doesn't even appear. Any tankers yet? | whattheduce

06/7/2018 10:35 | Mass hysteria is not only confined to fracking. | kemche
06/7/2018 10:33 | Scum trolls out in force today. Your going to burn when this turns. | triple seven
06/7/2018 10:33 | I have not fully rationalized exactly what the hysteria is about 'fracking'. It came from nowhere and seems to be based on a few 'stunts' and campaign slogans from the States. Remember the one where the woman turns on the tap and sets light to gas coming from the tap? Precisely how gas makes it through the water treatment plant given that large parts are open contact tanks and then into the supply network is not challenged. And if it was a well, any filtration system would have a gas trap to release air compressed in the water and released in the low pressure ground level receptors (like opening a coke bottle) so no air or gas could enter the system. They have to be specifically designed like that or the water pumps in any rising main or central heating system would fail. But that image is very powerful and backed up by a 'oohh I don't know, maybe we should avoid this just in case' commentary it can stick in the back of the mind and stop any rational dialogue. The anti-fracking hysteria is a rare example of mass hysteria and any incidence of misinformation simply compounds the matter. It is very odd how it took hold in the UK so easily. | whattheduce |
