UK Oil & Gas Investments PLC (UKOG)said at the end of January that “we are well advanced in our plans” to drill on the Island, firstly at Arreton. The company has been awarded licenses for conventional and unconventional drilling in a 200 square kilometer area of the island.

UKOG have now proved the concept of the Lower Kimberidge to yield plenty of oil to the surface under it's own pressure and now it looks likely that after proving that concept UKOG will target just the lower level on all 8 of it's other prospects.


UKOG will blaze a trail right across the Weald proving the 124 billion barrel concept right and cash in on this once in a lifetime oil bonanza.

Nobody will subscribe to replacing Lithium batteries every three years at a cost of $5000/car....cheaper to use oil.

Lithium will not take off because it has a useful lifetime of just three years----a lot more development is required but once Vanadium batteries have been improved to have a higher discharge rate along with decades of life then perhaps electric cars will become a commonplace reality.

But until then OIL RULES TRANSPORT.

Not a tree shake - those were real sells, not shorts. Holders must appreciate that if the share price falls, and they sell, the price will fall further. Similarly, there are plenty of buyers prepared to come in at lower levels and that will push the price back up.

For the MMs it's simply a question of balancing the book and with 6 market makers the chances of them all colluding to move the price in any particular direction are extremely limited. I watch L2 all the time on shares I am invested in and am reasonably proficient at reading it. UKOG MMs run a straight book and the only time there is a mismatch between buys and sells (and I don't mean what's reported as buys /sells by advfn because you can often trade very close to the bid/offer) is when there is an unreported large trade.

This stock has proved that oil can be commercially extracted from the lower zone right across the Weald under it's own pressure at volume levels reducing costs to about $8USD/ barrel.

This is expected to lead the way to develop many of the 85 discoveries to the slightly deeper, 900m depth lower kimberidge with sub surface multi pad wells each producing at least 5000bopd----the numbers and scope of this discovery once expanded become AWESOME.
