Moneymunch thats a good flow rete fella of 1700 but remember LGO had to choke back from 6000 to under 1000 bopd 1: wti prices 2: most importantly to preserve the well itself as you wouldnt want to damage the integrity. ..

UKOGFlow testFri 11:35
Second flow test to start today. Tank is sited and piped and, will comfortably cover two 10-12 hour flow tests. Weekend testing avoids any tanker movements in or out when the unwanted guests are typically at there largest numbers, allowing for tankering out on Monday.

Regent Mines (RGM) returned to the Horse Hill project alongside a number of other companies who have a stake in the game. Clearly Andrew Bell liked the results he was seeing and when the opportunity arose to take Angus Energy's stake they snapped it up. Now you might ask the question – If the results look that positive on paper why would they leave? The simple answer is that they didn't. They've realised an opportunity to drill next door without being part of the Horse Hill consortium. Their drills, their rules. So you now have two companies helping to build the plot of what is coming with the Horse Hill story.

What have they found so far?

From the recent first flow test results they brought light, 40 degrees API, sweet oil out of the ground. And plenty of it. That's like looking at the expensive wine menu list when choosing your oil.

Andrew references the project to the likes of Wytch Farm. For those unfamiliar with it, Wytch Farm is the biggest onshore oil field in Western Europe. Not something to be taken lightly if he is correct as they peaked at 110,000 bopd when in full production.

Frack Free!

Another good point made in the video is that the oil is free flowing. This indicates that there is no need for any chemical stimulation or fracking. Given that there has been a protest camp near the Horse Hill site, it will please many environmentalists. For the UK government, this is an added bonus and will help with future planning permission to increase the number of wells in the location. This will of course have a big effect on benefitting the UK economy.

The landscape around Gatwick is not suddenly going to disappear under a sea of nodding donkeys. As Andrew explained, there is the option to have multiple wells off each platform. Even given the first flow results around 450bopd it's easy to envisage the platforms producing over 2000bopd each. Think "Octopus Style" drill pads, which David Lenigas blogged about on Friday.

"The real deal"

The story sounding good so far? It's about to get more interesting. Andrew Bell has announced today that during the next flow tests, when using a wider choke, the well produced reached 1,700 bopd. Creating multi-well pads with those figures and you are looking at extremely large bopd values in the not too distant future. From the sounds of it, that could be within 2 years.

To give this story an even happier ending you have to remember that this is taking place onshore. Despite oil prices reaching low levels over the past year, the cost to extract the oil is minimal when considering the logistics of what it costs to reach the North sea oil. There were already tanker trucks removing oil from the site following the first flow results. That pattern could be increased without too much disruption.

Anyone holding shares in the Horse Hill consortium could find themselves singing "I've got a golden ticket" this week after official news comes out.

We'll be following this story next week with another article titled "The race is on – Angus Energy vs Horse Hill. Who will be first"

Brent closed up $35 plus on Friday, and all indications are that expectations of it's continued rise.....$40 plus by the end of March, and the most perfect time for Ukog to confirm the Major World Class Oil Discovery at HH....GLA Lucky ones...........very exciting times, with the real prospect of so much upside for all invested in the coming days, weeks and months........we're on the MONEY imho, and i can't think of many better places to be invested...;-)))))

$40 plus by end of March.....all bodes well for added value on the expected rise in the price of oil. GLA ;-)

Brent crude futures were trading at $35.12 a barrel, down 17 cents from their last close, but rose to $37 earlier in the session, the highest since Jan. 5. For the week, Brent was up about 7 percent.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for April delivery closed 29 cents lower, at $32.78 a barrel, but still managed to gain about 3 percent for the week.

Some analysts and traders were pricing oil higher in the near-term.

Hans Van Cleef, senior energy economist in Amsterdam for ABN Amro, said Brent's break above the $36.25 technical resistance indicated "more short covering in the coming days."

Jeffrey Grossman, dealer at New York's BRG Brokerage, said he expected U.S. crude to trade at over $40 by end of March.

Strong gasoline demand in the United States, and an upward revision to the country's economic growth for the fourth quarter, helped boost expectations of oil consumption.

@philipjamestoy @armcmb @UKOGlistedonAIM That 700 bopd 50/50 oil water was 1inch choke. 463 on half inch. Open choke would be much higher.

One company hit pay dirt with a technological advancement that promises to propel the U.S. to energy superstar status.

Recently, energy company Encana (NYSE: ECA) completed a mind-blowing 51 wells on one pad site to drill gas from an entire canyon in Parachute, Colorado.

Think about this... Encana's pad site is 4.6 acres in size above surface. However, using its multi-well pad drilling technology, it was able to access a full square mile of underground resource.

That's 640 acres underground from a 4.6-acre above-ground pad site.

Apart from the pad site, the entire canyon remains green and untouched as if nothing is going on — but the company will drill more gas from this site than it ever has from any previous well pad.

That's just one drilling site. With the Octopus, multiple buried wells can be accessed.

Once it was proven how powerful this technology is, major oil producers began quietly bypassing traditional drilling methods in favor of the Octopus. Last year, Devon Energy (NYSE: DVN) drilled 36 wells from a single pad site in the Marcellus.

The Octopus is quickly becoming the norm — and for good reason...

ps an early placing is only likely to happen on early approval to fast track production at HH imho......and if Ukog and UK Govt. confirm HH will be fast tracked by Rns, then the share price will be heading towards double figures, regardless of any placing, which undoubtedly would be at a massive premium at that time. "With £4m cash in the bank, UKOG has more than enough cash at this time!"

At 30 Sep UKOG had £4,590,000 in cash and along with its non-current and other current assets the consolidated total assets were £11,581,000.

UKOG also still have $9m of a $10m facility to draw down on if needed which lasts until Oct 2017.

This is why UKOG said it "has sufficient cash funds available to allow it to continue in business for a period of at least twelve months."

In the 19 Feb IG interview SS said "We have money to do it in the bank but on the back of this success we have people who want to give us more money"
