Toxin products no longer used.I am putting forward a reason why when originally launched the shares were 10p and I did not buy because I could see patients not paying the price and my pharmacy is in upmarket area. They might buy it once but not repeatedly.with regard to transfer between family members you have to have head to head contact so the new household product they are launching will not sell either IMHO.paranoid people will buy it till they realise lice can only live a short time off of their nice warm blood containing Host. I am not going to be bothered to post as the campers do not like any realism.go into your local pharmacy pick up a can ask for the pharmacist and ask him is this really worth 15a can. .?ask them if they had any customer feedback and repeat purchases. There are millions of potential patients out there so ask yourself why the shares are 4p and falling after today's RNs!

The bottom line is we know it is selling reasonably well. Much easier to sell 2 at 15 than 3 at 10; a much bigger profit margin. I know in my kcal primary school 3 or 4 people have used it and were very happy.

I think Harold is missing an opportunity but clearly we are not going to persuade him.....

I hated putting toxic chemicals on my kids hair when they were young and would have been more than happy to use vamouse or similar non toxic alternative. Now its the grankids turn so will recommend they try vamouse.

Also, if the new non toxic products work well, then why do you not regard them as premium products?

Thanks htg - if a child in your family gets head lice, is it typical that everyone in the household eventually succumbs?

It is the patient thts the problem.lice cannot develop resistance to the silicone based products.

Wig the newer non toxic products do work well but the hair and scalp have to be saturated. There lies the problem.because the products are expensive people do not put enough on .my point about 4 cans costing £60 at full rrp shows why people buy 1 at £15 and try to get 4 heads out of it.with hedrin you can get 4 shorthaired people for 11£ or 2 long haired people.

I am sorry that you cannot accept my comments on cans.I wish you luck on share picking . perhaps timbo might like to adjudicate as to the difference between the 2 cans?

Htg - my understanding is that none of the lice products work very well, but they are better than nothing and vamousse is less toxic than the alternatives. Is that an accurate summary of the product position?

New broker note from Allenby...

Product sales expected to rise from $6.7m(2015) to $9.6m(2016). This doesn't suggest cans are being returned unsold.

Harold, I can't recall ever having lice and I realise that shaving foam is not the same as the lice mousse but I'm certain that if I released all the shaving foam from its container in one go that I would have enough foam to saturate quite a few heads of hair. The same goes for the shampoo, 200ml of shampoo would go a very long way. A squirt of shampoo into your hand the width of a 10p piece (maybe 5ml / 10ml) is sufficient for the average (female) head of hair according to a hairdresser relative.

LR2 have you ever had lice in your family?do you have long hair and tried to saturate hair and scalp.comparing a can of shaving foam with a can of vamousse is not comparing like with like.you use a complete can of tyre inflator at once so its not like with like but a single use item

I am not a shareholder but have attended several presentations.I disagreed with the price and Bruno's idea that it was a premium product.I look at the board from time to time to see what is going on.I also check with other pharmacists when I go past to see how their sales are.I am not a ramper or deramper unlike most on these boards. There are very few people with no agenda here.Timbo is one of the few without an agenda, but from his above comments I think he needs new glasses!the fact we both worked for glaxo at some point has nothing to do with my observations.

I see that Vamousse Shampoo is sold in 200ml bottles for £8.

And the mousse is sold in 160ml cans for £10.

Harold, are you really suggesting that these sizes are only suitable for one single application?

I buy shaving foam (mousse) in 200ml cans and it lasts me months as does the hair shampoo I buy in 250ml bottles. I can't believe that the Vamousse products last for just one application regardless of how long a person's hair might be.

Nobby there is no such thing as a standard order.via our wholesaler who delivers twice daily I can order a single can .if I order an outer I would get a larger discount. Its a question of space.one cannot afford to waste space on slow moving lines.

Nobby its a very kind offer but I do not need that incentive. With 40 years experience if I think a product is worth stocking and selling I do so.I sell a spot product that is made by a one man band that works.it is under £8,works ,and I sell it because I know patients will return to repurchase it. I am even using it myself on acne Rosaceae with success.that was after a patient who I sold it to for her son's acne tried it on her Rosacea and reported back her success with o
both of them.
