Yes. It's like stats on companies with long term debt outperforming those with low to no debt. Always strange on the face of it

It depends on if the fund is active or passive, active is a fund manager putting money into stocks that they think in their opinion will rise, passive is the fund manager has no choice put to enter the money into the market at across the board equally, I prefer passive because for some reason the passive funds seem to out-perform the active funds, strange but true.

Cheers for that. They don't work around bulk dividend dates on monthly now? On weight scale

Yeah, the coupon payment date is on 22/3 and 22/9 on most UK bonds, not all but most, if you look at the charts these bonds always rise on the build up to these dates regardless of market conditions.

Here is another tip for you SR, never short the Ftse 100 on the 23rd of each month because that's when most pension fund providers enter the money into the market.

Out of US now makes a lot of sense

Take it you did a lot of inflation risk portfolio work then?

Well I'm calling Microsoft a short on the research I have done from a pension fund point of view, I've pulled all my funds out of the US and put them into the UK as passive funds, I hold most of my pension fund in UK government inflation linked bonds as they always come up in a big way approaching 22/3

Agree on it being a short. Today actually.

I just mean hard cash terms...I don't mind calling short . Just wouldn't put money into it at the moment as their are easier out there.

But yes.. anyone calling it can't be faulted imo

Well I might be wrong but if UK people switch back into UK funds the that means big trouble for the US markets and as most US funds seem to favour Microsoft then it could actually be a short in my eyes.

Yes agree. Huge money has gone into the US from such funds with Brexit and such

Won't be long until it gets called back
