If the price is 1.80-1.81 and you put a large buy order on at 1.75 the market will drift towards 1.75. It does not fill but if you keep doing that below the market price you restrict growth in the stock. Until a real down day and you close your short. Should a good day come along they keep manipulating the price. They only get burnt if the price moves significantly north and that is when big investors arrive. They ain't arriving here yet as we have big debts and Kenya is a little unstable at the moment. The increasing oil price will however kill them eventually and this will act like it was on an elastic when it happens.

I stand to be corrected but I do not have level 2 to confirm my thoughts.

The long term chart looks like a tulip chart. Prefer to be on the early side of those like Bitcoin now.

Spr 57 million barrels below 2009 peak. Approximately 67 days worth in reserves... Imagine trump would be happy to release another 70+ million barrels during his term, easy money for greasing the pole.

In saying that, can't imagine the us would be too happy if it dropped too far below 600million barrels. 21 million released so far this year and general inventory dropping... That's bullish to me!

EIA numbers out soon, speculation of a sharp decline in oil & gas inventories, I can feel a short squeeze coming

Looks like the start of a powerful move to 280p, early days but the sector is a strong buy, most oil stocks going up nicely, PMO breaking out, UKOG,TRIN,EME & CASP coming up behind

I'd say it's more to do with the price of oil, it's unbelievable we're still at these levels.

Brent has gone up by $5 in October but Tullow is still below it's September peak.

Everything re oil price is happening as I predicted last summer based on upcoming aramco IPO and Tullow share price has barely moved even with a positive ITLOS ruling.

It feels a bit like even if you're right, with Tullow you're wrong! Hopefully these will get a proper re-rating soon!

This is now 4 percent up. A lot based on the Anadarko update imo. That material was price sensitive and Tullow should have released it.

GregP. - it isn't uncommon that an operator or a partner releases production updates and the partners dont feel it necessary to update mkt b4 their own Trading Updates unless materially different from what was expected
