Incidentally, Kosmos Energy also recently farmed into TLW's Block C-18 block in Mauritania for 15% as they think it could be prospective for oil, rather than multi TCF's of Gas which Kosmos/Mauritania have in spades.

Kosmos Energy and new start up Trident Energy picking up Hess's 85% operated paying interest in Ceiba + Okume Complex in Equatorial Guinea for $650m. Tullow could exercise pre-emption rights but balance sheet looks a bit weak?

Araku

TULLOW Oil is advancing rapidly with the Araku wildcat, a closely-watched well being drilled in about 1000 metres of water off Suriname, writes Gareth Chetwynd.

The drillship Noble Bob Douglas spudded the well in early October and is understood to be about half way toward targeted total depth on a hole where high pressures are not anticipated.
