130p might be expensive in a few months time.

Games being played by the City.

Steve,

This is my thinking too.

So I buy 49 @ (say) 201p and acquire rights for 25 @ 130p = my average at 74 @ 177p.

Have I got this straight.... and if so why is the price not going to drop to 177p or lower?

Get the rights issue out of the way and the company will be on a much sounder financial footing.

Get the rights issue out of the way and you will be left with a company massively diluted by the tune of 466,925,724 extra shares!! They have even stated some of the money could be used for high impact wild cat drilling!!
Looking for reasons to buy to take advantage of the rights issue but just can't see it.. real poor call by the board!

The share price had already been walked down £1 by the City who knew this was coming.

Buying now before the 3rd April entitles you to the rights shares at 130p.

Hi Cumnor - great post! I'm new to this thread and haven't bought yet. Will wait for a few days to watch for that drift of which you speak. Cheers!

So let me get this straight... if I buy before the 6th (or 5th) April, the shares acquired come with the full rights to buy 25 more at 130p for every 50 acquired...
Likewise if I sell now I give up the right to acquire more, but if I sell after the 6th, I retain my entitlement to additional shares - which must be paid for by the 24th April.. Can anyone please confirm if my understanding is correct..?

Comparing this to Enquest's recent RI in Oct/Nov '16 (of 4 for 9 at 23p), the price of ENQ dropped pretty close to the RI price between announcing the RI and the completion.

Is this likely to repeat with TLW.

The city is so corrupt and even the regulator is powerless (too inept) to act

Take a longer term view

Jamie Constable at broker N+1 Singer said the rights issue "removes any questions over their balance sheet and covenants" as the company is now free cash flow positive. "They can now move the group forward and take advantage of any opportunities that may be out there."

Hi hiddendepths.

With reference to your post 28564,

"I love deep discounted rights issues!

Shares up this morning - not that many people understand that!"

Today's rights issue rns states that the existing shares will be marked ex-rights at 8:00am on 6 April 2017.

Well, this news today has fked up my plan to buy about 220p, 218p lol

The worry now, TLW was obv in financial trouble, have they raised enough. The oil climate / glut, is not improving at all.

Will monitor before ploughing money in.
