The huge BVC trades were both "single protected" - could just be juggling, so be careful.

AU now down 13%. This is astonishing. Anyone still short?

Steam....NAS falling back from +27 or so to close to open levels. Key to a rise for the day will be if it makes a 'higher low'. Low was around -25 at 2591....so if it doesnt drop below 2591 in next hour or so, i'd expect an up day...

Timeliner - you did the right thing from a trading point of view - this warning halfway into the day was unusual. Imagine if they'd instead confirmed targets to be hit, and added 50p.

This is crazy, MMs must be raking it in. Only just sold similar no's at higher prices. On the reporting of the buys, MMs cut quotes. Now one has risen on the back of these sells. Perhaps it's to try & confuse us? It's working.

Hotei - thanks for that, but am out now. Was only looking for the Dead Cat.

Reminds me of BVC - hit hard on a warning that is current year only - future years unaffected (so they say). Also, the MMs have (or had) several million at higher prices to ditch - that's a couple of % of the company. So even a large buyer (bearing in mind that 3%+ and they've got to notify) may be insufficient.

Basically, it could go either way, but co's that disappoint rarely do it once and as I can't call it, I'm staying out. Good luck if you're long.
