04/1/2001 09:52 | Lol - does anyone have a rational explanation why single shares traded? I used to think it was GNI users having fun, but not on SETS stocks. KSS continues to hold up. Look at these just-reported ITL trades from this am: 29 D01258V901 400.0 250000 O 383.0 390.0 8:41:24 250,000 24,701 83,000 764,368 28 9015CLWH01 400.0 487368 O 383.0 390.0 8:40:42 487,368 24,701 83,000 514,368 Huge buys? Why no effect on price? | spectoacc

04/1/2001 09:46 | Lots of single shares today. IGI, TIG and IBI too. Oh I love conspiracies. | kayak
04/1/2001 09:41 | specto ... no that leaves the MM's with 999,999 shares from the million traded on Decemnber 21!! | humdinger

04/1/2001 09:25 | At risk of sounding like a stuck record - 20k KSS just sold in two blocks, more than doubling day's vol. ITL/KSS also both had a single share bought, to leave last trade as a buy? | spectoacc
04/1/2001 09:22 | stream do we now upgrade our afn targets to £2 by xmas :) | dodddy
04/1/2001 09:21 | take a look through sharescope at the consensus column and see how many sell reccomendations there are. over the last 6 months there has been about 3% the rest are hold or buy, what does that tell you ? The banks will look to shaft the little guys all the time, but we would do the same in their shoes. so alls fair in love and war, they set the rules we play by em | dodddy
04/1/2001 09:19 | ADVFN up nearly 20% that must convince you all now!! | stream
04/1/2001 09:18 | Andy if you are still interested in shorting Lloyds note there is a big buy being auto filled at 730p | crocodile
04/1/2001 09:15 | Check those trades ITL - irrational mark-up? (MM to MM sells + T-trade distort). | spectoacc
04/1/2001 09:15 | speto .........now an ic tip wuold be the final nail in the koffin | moonblue
04/1/2001 09:13 | Justin Barclays-Haircut on Radio 5 just said the rally could be a short one. Stream - fair point re UK rates, more likely IMO to come down now. But UK economy in good health; US still won't avoid hard landing IMO. | spectoacc
04/1/2001 09:10 | Stream When i had a proper job I used to work with a load of City analysts. The majority of them were invariably wrong, and none of them ever actually traded their views...Also, is any major bank/fund manager ever really going to come out and say "leave yr money in cash for the time being?" | limpsfield chartist
04/1/2001 09:09 | andy have made a few points on Lloyds but I also believe it may have peaked, might reverse shortly | crocodile
04/1/2001 09:09 | Markets are always looking forward and not back. The market correctly predicted the current slowdown, hence the falling markets last year. There are some fantastic bargains out there to be had. Watch the Bank of England's next move!! | stream
04/1/2001 09:07 | looking to short LLOY NRK waiting | andyj
04/1/2001 09:06 | Stream, Accepting (and fearing!) you may be right, the fact remains that a cut in the US base rate will not save companies from warning this quarter. Futs -60 (to be expected) but FTSE is up less at 9am today than it fell yesterday. You could almost have expected that before the rate cut! I also don't trust any analyst/merchant bank. Z - agree re why hasn't it fallen. Could it be one of IC's tips for 2001 tomorrow? | spectoacc
04/1/2001 09:06 | Closed BLM short for 10 points, seems to be gaining again. | crocodile |
