Just got a CMC order (VOD short @ 244) cancelled as no trader available. Anyone else suffered this and got any joy from complaining?

I agree. Small caps have not reacted in any crazy way.

FTSE is up because the Telcos (borrowed beyond belief!) have woken up to find their enormous repayments have been cut.

BHM: Up 153p @ 981p and nearing my target of 1,000p. Should be interesting to see what happens then.

If the pattern follows Decemeber 5th (the day AG announced that he was changing his bias and signalled a rate cut)when it also closed at its high, then we'll have a pullback today followed by two up days for late comers. Then the
downtrend resumed.

I think the Yanks will continue to sell the rallies.

Timeliner - I've been banging on for a while that I didn't think AG would cut till he knew the extent of expansionary tax cuts. Perhaps you're right though, and perhaps they have a little deal going.

Zhivago - remember yesterday I said stay in bed till March? I meant till Thursday . . .

I've got some shorts to close but if they're marked up too high, I won't close: desperation stakes in US, & if market falls again, what is left to support it now? What did Greenspan know yesterday that he didn't know before? Why is Nikkei closing negative?

That said, glad I took some small longs yesterday to hedge the shorts that are going to hammer me!

Good luck all - here's to a rally, but watch your backs. US economy will still tank.

Dodddy - be quick - I thought day traders never kept positions open overnight otherwise they become just like the rest of us!!!

Nigel, not sure I share your confidence on the levels BHM might reach, but 1400 within the month would be nice. I went long at 1022, BTW.
