I've been long on BOOT for a while and it's starting to look interesting again - new high for the day and a good buy:sell volume ratio.

Thor

What's the betting it'll reverse as soon as I hit the post button :-)

Kayak,

That'll be me slow off the mark as usual then!

Thanks for the info.

AHA!

Herzog have been taken over by Mssrs. Merryl and Lynch and should disappear fairly soon.

Not only but also...HSO, being an AIM stock, it is just part of the trading mechanism for there to be an order book should there be any need. Just letting my ignorance show, obviously.

Above information from my broker which shows, contrary to popular opinion, they are good for something then!

Yours with the sun shining,

Zak.

AIM stocks (such as HSO) are on SEATS which has a bulletin board-type facility that brokers can use to advertise orders to other brokers or MMs (particularly large ones) as well as the normal dissemination of MM quotes. You're probably looking at Proquote which carries these. ADVFN doesn't.

HHGI seems to be closed today on most stocks and there is a bug in ADVFN which doesn't mark the quotes as closed and instead uses them for the calculation of the spread.

Same with HHGI on the Ind.Energy Holding (IEH) level 2 screen. Showing its spread from 15:30, presumably yesterday. I was just about to phone my broker to buy from them and sell straight away to the highest bid when I noticed the time.

HHGI = Herzog Heine Geduld Intl and they have a similar situation on Hansom Group (HSO). Also, while we are on the subject of HSO what's going on there then? Why is there an 'orderbook' with what looks like an MM sell order in it underneath the other MM quotes?

Yours back in the dark,

Zak.

Skinny,

Ah yes, well spotted, thanks. RTFS springs to mind :-)

Still a bit odd though, maybe they've just pulled out of the game for a while? Don't want to play.

Zak.

Zakalwe, its not red on my screen, but isn't the quote from yesterday @16:03?

Level 2 for Northgate (NIS) has a curious MM HHGI who, on my screen, is quoted in red, still happy to be 50x50 but instead of 65 - 68 or whatever they have 60 c 71 and are by far the most outside the consensus bid/offer. I'm fairly sure it's not just a screen glitch and would be gald of enlightenment if anybody can tell what's it all about eh, Alfie?

Yours in the dark,

Zak.

Long Alliance & Leicester (AL.). Order book looks strong around 540/542 with enough volume to eclipse the sells. In for the time being [Ed.] though overall volume is distinctly light..

Neil,

Sorry, robber, been downstairs watching Bloomberg for the market round-up. Anyway, consider it done. Having a spot of bother with the Hotmail account I think so let me know if you don't receive anything.

I trust you're a more reliable correspondent than that Scottish chap. :-)

Shields up...
